Im convinced that those who give rave reviews use this product correctly and those (with a few exceptions) who give negative reviews use it incorrectly. Why? Because the directions are open for interpretation., how? The directions say to apply liberally to towel dried hair, but what is liberally and what is towel dried hair... See my point. They also dont explain that its best used when blowdrying the hair with tension, and most home hair driers dont get that hot. So here i am a licensed professional who has been waiting to try this product and im giving it four stars because i believe it does work if used correctly (some people may still have problems because not everyones hair is the same , as there are always exceptions. When i used this (keep in mind my hair was long hitting about upper mid back below my shoulder blades so for short hair I suggest spraying less then what i did, maybe 4 instead of 6, which will make sense soon). So when i did this i used this product 2 different ways. 1. Applying it to hair that was still wet but towel dried and not dripping and using a lot (like what i saw in youtube videos) and 2. Applying it to my hair that was acrually damp where the ends were just starting to show being dry and applying a total of six sprays, roots, midlengths and ends front and back (this is where 4 sprays for shorter hair would come into play.) My results, first application was not fun, the hair is too wet if literally just towel dried and applying to much makes hair drip but the wetness of the hair dilutes the product too much which caused my hair to be more frizzy as the product was not providing enough heat protection. Applying it to damp just showing signs of being dry (think 70 - 80% wet and only using a few sprays on each piece as i blowdried produced much better results. (the shampoo and conditoner are actually prettt good on my hair but this review is more for the dreamcoat spray). You must also use tension and actual heat when blowdrying, the hottest heat your hair can handle, i know people are all but heat damage and such but ive never experienced that (i do take good care of my hair and have some secret weapons) in fact my hair loves heat, hot heat even on my bleached color treated hair i use flat irons at 450 and my hair dryer at about the same. Now this adds a bit of shine, dependent on your hairs natural shine and if used properly. To be fully honest i think professionals should be showing people how to use this product in their hair properly. And most people dont know what works in their hair and what doesnt. And a lot of people always use way too much product and apply it at the wrong time or when hair is too wet and almost never follow through with combing it through. But if this product dries your hair out i suggest a distilled water rinse after shampooing and conditioning, room temp distilled water wrap hair in towel and let sit for a bit and once its not dripping wet anymore apple some jojoba oil (or argan oil) and comb through hair starting at the ends working up slowly to the roots and then let air dry, that should help a lot. ... show more

I absolutely love this product but the price to me seems outrageous. I got the conditioner shampoo and the spray $35 in the bottles are so tiny seems a bit ridiculous to me so I will try to find something else or I get more for my dollar because of this, ain’t it.
