I am happy with this helmet and knee and elbow pads set. Plus, even better, so are the two little girls that are now wearing them. If I'm being honest, I had not given a lot of thought toward this kind of protection for the kids. I never had anything like this myself, so maybe that's why I didn't think about it too much. I wish I had put more thought into it though, because a couple years ago, I heard about several children with severe injuries that could have been prevented by simply wearing a helmet. A friend of mine had a family member to get into a terrible motorcycle accident that nearly killed him, because he wasn't wearing a helmet. So, I decided that the next time I had kiddos, that would be riding bikes or wearing skates, using a skateboard, or anything like that, I would make sure they had a helmet. The knee and elbow pads were just an added bonus that gives me even more comfort over these children being as physically safe as possible. There are enough dangers out here for them to worry about, we must provide them with the resource to protect them from falls and accidents, while playing. The helmet and pads are such a pretty color design, with the pink, purple, and hints of blue and green, it makes wearing these things a little more appealing for them. If they can look cute or cool, while staying safe, that's an extra win for them, and us, right? I ordered the size medium, which is supposed to fit children between 8 and 13, from my understanding. The small is for kids under 8 and, I would assume, the large is for 13+. The sizing seems pretty spot on from what I can tell. If your child is 12 or 13, I might just go with a large, if it were me. That way you don't need to replace them within a years time. Unless the child is very petite, that is. Overall, I can happily recommend this set to other parents and caregivers. They are appealing to kids because of the colors, and they are appealing to us parents because we have the comfort of knowing, at least in this way, they are as safe as they can be.

My daughter loves the helmet and says its comfortable. She also likes the wrist guards, but says the pads are terrible. The velcro straps rub and pinch when your move your arms and legs. They would probably be fine if you have a long sleeve shirt and pants on under the pads. The other set of pads we have, have elastic fabric there instead of velcro straps and she says that's way better. We almost never use the pads though, so hopefully this won't be an issue. The helmet is great though and that will get the most use.

We bought this set for our oldest as she is starting to ride her bike. Like all girls her age, it seems, her favorite color is "rainbow", so we knew the design would be a win, and it was! She absolutely loves getting geared up before she goes on her bike rides, and even the wrist guards seem to not be too obstructive. The elbow and knee guards seem to fit great as well. One thing I love is the adjustment system in the helmet. It's a lot like the one on my Bauer hockey helmet and adjusts in small enough increments to get a pert near perfect fit!

Getting both the helmet and the pads in one set is quite a great deal, all the more so because the items are all good quality. The helmet is not only cute, but well made with good quality materials. It has plenty of inner pads for comfort and a good adjustable harness. I will say that I did find it a bit hard to adjust the helmet small enough for my 5 year old. She is on the small side, so there's that. The problem is that when you adjust the helmet very small, the buckle ends up going under the kid's chin, which is uncomfortable. The knee, elbow, and wrist pads are also great quality and attractive. One last note: you might not think your kid needs to wear so much protective gear, but I highly recommend that you use it whenever they ride a bicycle, tricycle, or even Power Wheels. One really good scrape can leave a lifelong scar or lead to a bad infection. It's rare, but you're better off safe than sorry. Besides, when your gear looks this cool, why not wear it?

I got this set for my 6 year old and she loves them. The quality is pretty good (nothing amazing but decent). I got the 3yr-8yr size and I think they might be a bit small for an 8 year old. For my 6 yr old they work fine but when I compare them to another brand we have for my 2.5 year old, these are actually smaller, as in the actually plastic pad is smaller. The helmet is great and easy to adjust. Regardless of sizing, they work well and it's a super cute design.

Got this helmet for my 2.5 y/o son. There are straps to tighten the helmet around his small head. It does look big but it is snug around his head. He was on his scooter and not once did the helmet came off. This helmet set also includes knee pads, elbow pads and palm pads. These palm pads is something you strap on to your palms and they protect the kid's hand from fall laceration. That's something I don't know I need but definitely something good to have. These pads doesn't fit my kid so well yet. He'll eventually would grow in to it.

This set is the cutest, stylish and very safe for helping to protect a precious toddler while she is learning how to skate in the house and outside. This set comes with guards to protect the knees, elbows and wrists. Of course, there is a helmet to protect the head. The cushioning inside the helmet seems thick enough to protect against falls while learning. This set comes with a storage bag to keep everything neat when not in use.
