Before purchasing I read all the reviews and became aware that the blaster could be a return or used. The reviews also stated that they could not get it to maintain pressure (leaks). With this in mind I took pictures from the beginning to document if the machine I received was used and not new and to ensure I could repackage for a refund if needed. It appears from the instructions that it is not put together but most of the fittings were. From the pictures I include you can see that the system leaked even after I found sever fittings that had the threads damaged and had to replace the couplings. The biggest problem with the machine is that the manufacture does not have adequate quality control. Standard and nor metric wrench’s do not fit the valves or coupling except for the ones I bought at Ace Hardware. They appear to be a lose metric size + some percentage. Had to use an adjustable on most. The threading was damaged on two coupling and maybe one valve.One coupling to valve was so tight I could not break it lose to replace and did not want to damage the valve so it leaks some. After changing the couplings there are still leaks but minimal. Bottom line, it hold pressure, the pressure relief works but I think it will not be as powerful as I need but will do as advertised so I will keep it. So I was skeptical of even ordering this sand blast. Damn let me tell you I’m impressed. Though it does take sometime and a large compressor is definitely a must. It took rust off of a 97 Ford F-350 CCLB I’m building. The frame is still solid and the underbody doesn’t have rot but does have some rust. It took it down to bare metal and I was seriously impressed with how nice of a job it did. I used regular play sand and screened it to get the bigger debris and pebbles out. Had a few clogs here and there but just have to remove the tip and tap it out then pop it back on. Totally beats wire wheeling and grinding. Plan on blasting 05+ axles before I install them. 👍🏼👍🏼 ... show more

    • The discharge valve failed. The media blew a hole in the valve body.
You need to use a better made (thicker) bodied hand valve that doesn't blow out after just a couple of hoppers full of media.

The product appeared to be used. It looks like it was partially assembled by a 5th grader as a science project. I had to dissemble everything, remove the absurd amount of pipe tape from all the fittings and the inside of all the valves. Then reassemble the unit. What should have been a 15 minute project turned into over a hour project. There was also still what appeared to be steel shot in the tank from whoever used it and returned it. ... show more

    • Inferior fittings
We used this to sand blast some furniture using pecan shells. Maintaining flow is a problem. The unit became plugged; we removed the discharge valve and hose. The wire hose clamps on this equipment are inferior and strip easily. After reassembling and insuring that everything was tight; we re-pressurized the tank and opened the flow valves - it immediately blew off the discharge hose clamp. We were fortunate not to be injured. The unit works well when everything is perfect, but too dangerous to use without replacing the hose clamps. ... show more
