Top Amazon Reviews

  • Best tent thus far. Read review
Style: Dome Tent
I looked at the reviews and was concerned whether I got the right tent or not so let’s cover everything I’ve experienced. I went camping in the Nez pierce country land of Idaho. I didn’t think it was going to rain so I didn’t bring my back up tarps. What a mistake so I thought. It rained so hard you would have thought you were in the Amazon. With shaking thunder and lightning I laid in my tent just waiting for the water to start to seep in. I was so wrong. In fact I was beyond surprised. No water in the tent AT ALL. The rain fly worked perfectly though while setting up you think to yourself this isn’t going to hold, but it does and not just well, but fantastically. Now there is a downside. The front awning does get wet and water resides, but I already knew that given the design hence there is a drain line in front of the tents main door which keeps your sleeping area 100% dry. Let’s move on to the wind resistance. My goodness does this thing hold up. I had tables and chairs getting whipped around during that storm, and not once did my tent ever show signs of weakness or fault. I’m beyond impressed with this tent. Fast forward: 3rd time camping with this tent I decided to put a Queen blow up mattress inside. Yup it fits. Height kinda stinks as it’s 6th exactly at the center, as my bf smiled ear to ear whilst standing up at the center. Other than the durability of this tent, it’s easy to set up. I’d recommend that you tie the top and place the first 2 clips (at the top) before hoisting it up. Happy camping everyone! I’d say 10/10 for the tent. Just wish the awning had more coverage, but this tent does what it’s intended and that’s room, dryness, wind resistance. Oh btw when you’re looking for a tent to view the stars with dry weather, this is by far the best one I’ve had. The mesh is so slick in design it’s as if the mesh isn’t present at all. Just make sure you’re lights are off inside the tent…(duh). ... show more

  • Like a backpacking tent but not
Style: Dome Tent
This is the largest tent I have owned. I've only used backpacking tents so this is like a house to me. I've always wanted a tent that had a "porch" before you went inside to collect the bugs and this one does the trick. The bug net from the porch goes all the way up to the top of the main tent dome. It is where all the bugs conglomerate and is easy to clear out with a shop vac but who's got power when they're camping so gotta look into a way to clear that out. The porch is half covered by the rainfly and you will get rain inside. I have a solution for that with a backpacking tarp but keep that in mind if you store your gear on the porch. There is a space on the floor between the porch and the main tent that I guess the newer models like mine have netting sewn in. This stops water from getting to the main part of the tent and then also keeps bugs out. The door is a half door so one person or one set of gear at a time. Lots of room for my extra large cot. I'm 5' 8" and my head touches the peak of the ceiling. Just two gear pockets on adjacent corners and then one mesh gear hammock for the ceiling also a tie ring for lantern. The rainfly ties down really good and is just a little pain to do by oneself but is doable. Really good airflow. The floor seems basic but I always put a heavy tarp down beforehand. The stakes are basic I will probably get better twisted ones. For the price, size, ease to set up solo, weather capabilities, and the durability or Coleman I give this tent five stars. This is after two weeks testing in my backyard with high winds and intermittent rain. ... show more

  • Amazing tent
Style: Dome Tent
I decided to write a review since I wasn’t expecting this tent to be as awesome as it was . We’re new to tent camping and didn’t really know where to start. We went with this one since its “waterproof, easy to assemble and large”. When we went up to camp we ended up in the middle of a monsoon so rain all day long, when they say this thing is waterproof they mean it. Not a single drop of rain got into the main part of our tent. The “porch” it mesh and got soaked but has a mesh strip right at the base to help with drainage and it’s designed to push the water towards that rather than it pooling right at the opening of the tent. The tent itself is huge. Me, my husband, and our two dogs (large about 60lbs-70lbs) fit just fine with more than enough room to move around and for all our gear. I can stand up fully in it and I’m about 5’4 so that was an added bonus. It took a second to figure out how to set it up since it’s not your basic kind of tent but it’s an effective design and easy once you get it. The only thing I didn’t like was the porch got mud it in after a few days of rain and you can’t take it off to clean that separately. Other than that this tent was amazing! ... show more
