  • Great Stove
Read a bunch of the reviews which most after using the stove are not accurate. First of all buy the correct stove for what your using it for. This stove is a 11,000btu stove meaning, dont purchase a 1 ton truck if your looking for great fuel economy. I have used the stove twice and heres what I found. The dials adjust just fine, the first time I used it they seemed to turn back up slightly after you stop adjusting it down, this went away the second time I used it. The stove does run on the hot side, but it should its 11,000 btu which will work great in the winter and if its windy outside. I used a non-stick pan and the cast iron griddle top and both worked great. Dont hesitate to purchase if your looking for winter, blowy, or high output performance. I cooked bacon on a very low setting and it cooked just fine. Great product! Update to purchase, used in the hunting camp, runs hot, but works great. ... show more

  • HAPPY COOK ;-)
Why hasn't Coleman made this stove years ago. I got it for camping. but I use it at home too. backyard BBQ, example: a large pot of corn on the cob cooks faster outside than the kitchen stove inside. when there is a lot of people to feed. and the big (Coleman) grill is busy. i need a back up... I got a hose to hook up to a 3 gal tank. I do not like to keep buying the little cylinders. USE CAUTION... things will cook faster. prep your food first. watch over your food closely or it will burn. I got use to it... the grill is great too. don't use it much. I like to cook over a camp fire. but i live in southern California. sometimes there is no burn zones in very dry conditions. that's when the grill comes in handy. i use to take 2 things. a small Coleman grill and Coleman stove. and now i only take one thing. when you pack to go any where. space is valuable. i would have bought the stove/grill sooner. but the Coleman stove and grill i have had for the past 16 years still works good. if you take care of your things, it will take care of you. i will be very sad when i donate the grill and stove. it's like losing a friend. but now i have a new friend, that's what makes me a happy cook! ... show more

  • Perfect camp stove
We love this stove. It’s so easy to set up and use while camping. Apparently a lot of reviewers had problems with food burning or not getting hot enough. I’m not sure if the problem is lack of experience with a gas stove or cooking in general but it’s just like cooking with a gas range; different foods need different temps and you’ll need to adjust that knob and watch the food- just like cooking at home. ... show more

  • Arrived damaged
Box arrived damaged and top of cookstove is also damaged because of it (dented and large scratch). Unit seems to work and hopefully will continue to do so

  • Works like a champ!
Used the grill feature first, since all the reviews were complaining about heat control. Gas grill amateurs! The heat control is perfectly fine. Had NO problem controlling the temp on the grill, I suspect USER ERROR on negative reviews of this grill. The windshield technology works like a champ. 20-30mph gusts and on the lowest temp setting and it stayed lit! Very pleased with the performance and solid/sturdy craftsmanship. ... show more

  • Rapid heat, High BTU, and grill Kit is great!
I love the rapid heating hi BTU capability of the stove. I use it with my class B RV. I like seafood and you know how Seafoods stinky, so I cook it outside the stove is just amazing amazing how fast it heats up water, cook, and can definitely grill also! I’m happy with it

  • 3stars or 4? Portable but not for simmering
I got this to be more portable than a campchef setup when I really don't want to lug bigger and more bulky "portable" cooking equipment for camping. I had read reviews complaining that it is not for simmering as even its lowest setting is still very hot. So, MAYBE a solution to this is to use a pot stand to raise the pot up away from the flame, that COULD work...I haven't tried yet. I also like how the other grill attachments that sit over the flame instead of the wind-block standard pot-stand has you using water so any grilled greasy food doesn't drip onto the flames. This is great for anything where you don't want to do a slow simmer or saute....for hot and fast THIS is the one! Good for boiling water and other high-temp things. I have not tried it for breakfast. I did flip a large sized cast iron skillet upside down to get it a little further from the heat and the two burritos I was finishing/cooking were getting a bit too blackened too quickly. I also use a large aluminum camp dutch oven and it was a challenge to keep things moving so they didn't stick or burn. Again, I will try to find/improvise a taller pot stand to get the cookware higher up over the burner or maybe try a metal diffuser plate. I also have no issues with bringing the butane single burner stove for smaller jobs or slower sautes/simmers OR the coleman single burner round portable stove. These colemans are propane and you can use an adapter to a larger-than-1lb tank like 5lb, 11bl, or 20lbs and up too! ... show more
