UPDATED REVIEW: From my former review youll see i was initially OK with this product. However, after taking it down and folding it up 4 times with no issues, on the 5th time folding it up one of the corners tore out on the floor. It wasn't because I didn't know what I was doing as I had folded it previously without problems. This is the second coleman tent to fall apart after just a few uses in the same year. No more coleman for me! Overall I love this tent. It is big enough for myself, 2 dogs, and all the stuff. Super simple to set up as well. Do check the instructions to make it easier on yourself. Now for the disappointment. This is the first time I have used the tent in the rain. 90% dry. Yay. However, the side seams do leak a little and every once in a while I get a drip from above. I can only assume there is a seam letting through a few drops in the rain fly as well. Overall I am happy. The dogs have plenty of room to stretch out so that's a plus. I would purchase this again if I was looking for another.

This tent was really easy to set up, and we sprayed it with two cans of Kiwi camp dry. I paid special attention to the seams and zippers. The first four hours we had it set up we got a torrential downpour and the rain fly leaked. Not so bad, our bedding was dry but there was definitely a 6 inch puddle of water in the lower most point of our camp floor. It had leaked through the rain fly and screen window seams near the bottom of the windows. This is a location on the tent that I had sprayed twice. Of course we will continue to use this tent as there is no reason to send it back but I will be spraying and spraying and probably put a tarp or rain fly (that I will purchase separately) over whatever side of the tent the rain is coming at the most. If rain is in the forecast, donโt roll out your bedding until itโs time to sleep.

I bought the 8 person instant skylodge tent and after one time setting it up in the rain it was flooded with water. Discovered multiple holes in the floor as well as water just seeping in everywhere. Did an exchange on Amazon for the same tent. Set it up to water test it before a camping trip overnight with some rain and once again it is full of water. The windows seem to collect the rain and drip it in. I also found several holes in in the tent once again. It's not the least bit water resistant. I am an experienced tent camper and had it set up properly with guy lines and rain fly. Also, one of the legs was twisted slightly. It wasn't completely backward as many of the other reviews talk about but certainly not on correctly. Positives: It's roomy. There is decent ventilation. It's pretty dark in the morning for sleeping. It couldn't be easier to set up! I do love the instant part of it and will keep looking for an instant tent.

Purchased this tent for our first camping trip with our kids. It is Huge and easily fit 2 cots a double air mattress a dog and a lot of gear with room to walk around. Set up was easy and takes a minute or two. However, one of the plastic buttons that locks the poles in place broke the second time I set it up. Fortunately it still locked in place after I spent 10 minutes messing with it. The rain fly is small and does not cover the walls of the tent. During a 2 hour heavy rain water started to drip from the seams and walls of the tent and a moderate amount pooled in the floor. That night it rained for 4-5 hours and there was water everywhere. Dripping in from the top and sides and pooling on the floor. While this is a very roomy tent with easy set up, I would not recommend If there is even a chance of rain, you will get wet. Will be sending this one back.

Overall the product is amazing once I got it set up. Everything seems or seemed to be set up but never stood up correctly until I started inspecting the poles/joints of the instant poles. A few of the joints ended up being entirely backwards as well as a couple of poles. I was able to unscrew with a phillips head to flip the joints and pole's, but when you're buying an instant up tent you expect it to be ready to go out of the bag and box as soon as you get it.

+ quick setup + lots of built in storage + smooth zippers - seems like it should have support poles on the sides ( the non instant version does) - big gap between the tent and awning/rain fly in the front looks inviting for heavy rain since the top is mesh. Time will tell on this.

I think this is the easiest tent I have ever set up. It is nice to be able to stand up in a tent. My oversize cot fits in this tent perfectly. I have not been in adverse weather, so I cannot comment on that. So far, I am very pleased.
