Description

Keep your food and drinks cold for an extended time, and make the fun last longer, when you roll in with a Coleman 62 Quart Xtreme 5 Wheeled Cooler. Xtreme technology uses an insulated lid and extra insulation in the walls to keep your items cold for up to 5 days. Large enough to hold 85 cans, you'll have plenty of space for refreshments for a whole group of people. Whether you're headed on a long weekend camping trip, a roadtrip, or across the ball field, the heavy-duty wheels and large tow handle let you roll over almost any terrain with hardly any effort. The additional 2-way handles make it easy to lift your cooler in and out of the car or onto a picnic bench. Once you arrive, the cup holders molded into the lid will keep your cold drink close while you enjoy the day. When the fun is done, the leak-resistant drain makes it easy to empty any excess water, so you're ready for your next fun adventure. Ideal for camping, tailgating, picnicking, hunting, and just about any other outdoor activity, the Coleman 62-quart Xtreme wheeled cooler will keep you hydrated while on the move. The Xtreme has pretty much everything you need for a trip to the beach or park: plenty of food and beverage space, four stay-put beverage holders, all-terrain wheels, and an easy-grasp tow handle. The Xtreme also stays cold much longer compared to other coolers, with a chamber capable of storing ice for five days at exterior temperatures of up to 90 degrees F. And don't worry about running short of space too soon, as the cooler holds 85 beverage cans with ice. Other features include a durable plastic exterior that resists scratching and denting, an interior channel drain for easy no-tilt draining and cleanup, and a lid that supports 24-inch cords (not included) for additional dry storage. The cords let you fit lawn chairs, picnic baskets, beach towels, and more on the top of the cooler while you walk to your campsite. The cooler measures 31.5 by 17 by 15.5 inches (W x H x D). About Coleman More than 100 years ago, a young man with an entrepreneurial spirit and a better idea began manufacturing lanterns in Wichita, Kansas. His name was W.C. Coleman, and the company he founded would change life in America. A man plagued with such poor vision he sometimes had to ask classmates to read aloud to him, Coleman saw a brilliant light in 1900 in a drugstore window that stopped him in his tracks. He inquired about the light inside and discovered he was able to read even the small print on a medicine bottle by the illumination. The lamps had mantles, not wicks, and were fueled by gasoline under pressure instead of coal oil. Soon afterward, Coleman started a lighting service that offered a "no light, no pay" clause--a big step forward for merchants who were burned by inferior products that rarely worked--and drew substantial interest from businesses that wanted to keep their lights on after dark. In the ensuing years, Coleman expanded its product line well beyond lanterns. The company's current catalog is thick with products that make spending time outdoors a pleasure. There are coolers that keep food and drinks cold for days on end, comfortable airbeds that won't deflate during the night, a complete line of LED lights that last for years, powerful portable grills that cook with an authentic open-grill flame, and much, much more. Coleman has truly fashioned much of our outdoor camping experience, and expects to do so for generations to come.

  • Good cooler for the price
Very nice cooler. Keeps a filled chest cold for 2 days with packed ice inside. as good as other coolers like the Igloo and certainly not nearly Yeti quality. but for the price this is very nice. The bottom drain is a new and thought out feature since floating ice cannot block the drain. The handles are easy to use and rolling feature works fine. I wish they had a strap to stop the cover from going too far back and better hinges that flexed backwards. I had to hold open the lid to load it to prevent it from closing. If you push the lid back too far it stresses the hinges which don't look like they will last many bends beyond vertical. I would like them to provide some replacement hinges and hardware since this wears out with use and is normally very expensive...a negative feature with all of the coolers with plastic hinges and catches. The lid does not have a snap latch to hold closed and only the tightness of the lid holds it closed. I don't know if this will loosen with time and become a problem. Thus far the cooler is doing a good job. ... show more

  • Did exactly as I expected!
Awesome Chest! Use it for all my parties and get togethers! I'm not a person who camps or hikes, just a Family Man who wants to have cold beverages throughout events! This Ice Chest does the trick. Now, I do have a life, so I didn't set a timer and keep checking back to see when each piece of ice melted, but I can tell you that I threw a 6 hour party and filled up the cooler once with ice, and that was at the beginning of the party. The drinks stayed cold and chilled and my guests enjoyed their cold "drinks"! So that's a Family Man win, and I love winning! It was easy to clean, and the wheels made my life 10x easier! Not only that, but now I can tell my kids to fetch it knowing that they won't be struggling and falling down 20x on the way from the garage! ... show more

  • Excellent Cooler
My wife and I are season ticket holders for a professional football team almost 300 miles from our home. We travel for the games and needed a convenient, maneuverable, and long lasting cooler to keep our food and drinks cold over a 2-3 day period with a lot of traffic in and out of the cooler. This Coleman did the trick. I kept everything cold for the entire period, and even though we used ice from our refrigerator ice maker, it lasted with about 65%-70% of solid ice left after 3 days. We were in and out of it often, and in spite being in s cozily warm room, it did really well. There was no moisture or leakage under the cooler either. We have used it now for 4 football game trips and are thoroughly pleased with it. The size is in the Goldilocks zone...just right for a case of 12 oz beers, several soft drinks, a 12-pack of bottled water, and still enough room for sandwich meat, a loaf of bread and a couple of bags of chips. With the handle and wheels, it is exceptionally easy to maneuver, even in and out of elevators. The handle is large enough to tow the cooler behind me without bumping my heels. My only gripe is the awkward location of the drain. In my case though, I wasn't worried because once I got home and emptied all the food and drinks, I just turned in over on its side and let it drain. No sweat, no hassle. It also fits easily in almost any back seat or trunk. I keep my situated at the rear under the hatch. Perfect location and makes for easy access when making potty stops while driving. This cooler is good deal, so if you need a good cooler that really does a great job keeping things cold while not losing much ice, get this cooler. ... show more

  • No customer Service from Coleman
Handles aren't strong enough for such a big cooler. They broke when I lifted the cooler. Checked the Coleman website and couldn't find specific warranty info on this cooler. Called them... there is no warranty at all on any cooler and I would have to pay a few bucks for new handles. I won't pay for handles that will surely break again. I think Coleman ought to be more helpful AND make stronger handles. Also, other reviewer said having the tote handle on the drain side is a pain, and it is.When you try to tip to drain cooler, the handle falls into the puddle of mud. Cooler does keep stuff nice and cold though. I won't buy Coleman anymore though. ... show more

  • Great cooler; check the plug!
We ordered this cooler for a camping trip to Yellowstone. No leaving food items around, so we knew our cooler had to make it all day, everyday in the hot car. As a cooler, this performed very well. Now, we did *really* load it up with ice, but we did still have some ice left when we got home, a full five days. Once the ice started melting, however, we had water leaking all over the floor of our minivan, soaking our boxes of food. We initially thought maybe the drain cap had been knocked ajar, but it became apparent that was not the case. The water was leaking from around the edges of the plug, not the plug itself. Hubby is a pretty competent fellow, so figured he could just tighten it, but no dice. He cobbled a fix with rubber cement (don't leave home without your bike patch kit!) and plastic bags (and plenty of towels on the outside), but that part of things was very sub-ideal. When the cooler was emptied, it became apparent that the plug itself is just pretty messed up, cross-threaded and stripped. We really just need a new part, but Amazon has a new cooler on its way. Fine customer service (albeit overkill on replacing more than necessary, but I know they don't keep spare parts around), but we will definitely be filling this one up and watching for leaks BEFORE depending upon it. I recommend this as a cooler--but check that plug before you head out! UPDATE: The new cooler arrived today; I filled it halfway with water and watched for leakage. Not a drop, hurrah! ... show more
