I just got this pad so have only 2 night's using it. I like it. The package was well-packed, including a piece of cardboard inside so we won't slash through the item when opening. It's a heavy, fairly dense pad. I won't be able to launder it in my own machines, requiring it to be either sent out or taken to laundromat. But I knew that going in. I am impressed by the packaging, first of all. The mattress pad is pressed into a vacuum-sealed bag but is a tight fit in the box--it's a small but important detail that there was a cardboard strip placed under the flaps that were taped closed. It protected the mattress pad from being damaged upon opening the box with a sharp object. So glad they did this!! I haven't used the mattress pad yet, but it is quite heavy, thick, and puffy. It recommends washing and drying first, but even though I have a larger front-loading washing machine, it's not big enough to accommodate movement. I will need to take this to a laundromat or other commercial facility to be washed and dried so I don't damage the pad or my machine. I'm excited to try it and it seems like it will be very soft and comfortable! I'll update this review, if not. ... show more

I have bought many toppers in the past year and they ended up smashing flat in a week or two or turned lumpy after washing. I took a chance on this one and OMGOSH so glad I did. I've had bad back problems and several surgeries that started at a young age. Getting comfy has been so hard. I've been diagnosed with Adhesive Arachnoiditis, a rare disease, that causes inflammation an tumors in my spinal canal. Second most painful disease with bone cancer being the first. Lying down is the least painful so I'm in my bed A LOT. My mattress has to be firm but that causes my hips and shoulders to hurt. If it's too soft my back hurts even worse. This topper has been my happy medium. It adds the softness I need for those pressure points but not so soft that it defeats the purpose of having a firm mattress. It's still like sleeping on a cloud. I've slept the best ever since putting it on the bed. The first few days that's basically all I did was sleep and that's ok bcuz I needed it. I wasn't awake after a couple of hours bcuz my pain level was out the roof. I've been in heaven! I've read some reviews where ppl have bought 2 and put both on. I could see were that would make an instant fluffy fluffy pillowtop. It's still pretty fluffy with just one! I have a king size so my Aide has to take it to the laundromat to wash in the big washer and big dryer. I think any size should be taken to the laundromat anyways! That's where I messed up before when I had a full size bed. Putting toppers in a home washer, even a large capacity is gonna mess it up. Especially if your washer has an agitator. So far so good with this one being washed. Oh yeah, haven't been sweating either! You're not gonna go wrong with this one. Go ahead and spend the extra $20-$25 IT'S WORTH IT! All the others I've bought have been around the $60 mark and didn't last. Wished I'd found this one first. It only took two days to get to me. Another plus! Best money I've spent. Very happy with purchase. I purchased for my guest room bed, but I have slept on if many times. Vacuumed packed, smaller box and cardboard on each end to protect while opening. Mattress pad fits thick mattress. I do not feel it is making me sweaty. Super soft squares made bed feel like I was staying at a luxury hotel.
