  • Puzzle person
So much fun to assemble. Easy for a puzzle person but kept the attention of a teenager. Great gift idea!

  • Great quality! I want more!
So much fun! Good quality, came with glue and everything needed to assemble. Only issue was at the very end the leg on the chair broke when I tried popping it out of the mold, nothing glue couldn’t fix!

  • Quality, Quaint, and a Fun Build! Beware of Delicate Wires & How the Battery Pack is Accessed
Instructions are very good with quality print on quality glossy stock. The wood is close to 1/8” thick and the only delicate part s the chandelier that arrived with one part off its fret and shattered. Was able to use clear glue, but with so many shattered parts, it was hard to keep them all aligned to the part that was not broken. The included tweezers were helpful. The light test worked the first time. (I wish it had been a Lithium disk battery as they last longer and would be easier to change than the AAA batteries.) Follow the slots in the floor for placing the front counter. It does not fit inside the black outline. Most of the parts fit well and often snapped into place. However, the little parts that went on the counters, I did use glue in the slots. I used white glue, not the included glue, because I knew the white glue would dry clear; wasn't sure about the B7000 included. As well, where tightly fitting, don't force. Sand the edges of each tab to go into the slots. Beware of the following notes: --There are no holes in the floor for the stools in Steps 13 and 20. Use glue as indicated. --The plastic to go inside the window frames, leave very little edge for gluing—be patient (steps 23, 24, 25, and 28. Wait for the glue to dry, making sure plastic covers the window openings. Hard to correct later when at step 47, because it is hard to reach inside to hold the plastic piece(s) to re-glue. (Ask me how I know.) --Parts J42 and J43: Be sure the brick side with the lamps is facing inside the room and the black back is on the outside of the room. The lamps and brick walls are not on the outside. Note: the touch switch is very sensitive while working around it. I temporarily taped just below the wires with painter's tape, so it wouldn't keep flopping around and going off/on while I worked. Be sure to glue with the silver circle facing up, so when you press on the roof (G13) it will make contact with a touch or tap. --Step 56: Place the touch switch on its markings with silver side up. The part that goes on top has a circle that is touched/tapped for the light to come on and off. (The wires are very delicate.) --I suggest the opening on the battery pack be placed up, to make it easier to access once the trap door (elastic part F4). After testing the opening to getting to the battery pack, it did not come out easily to have to open to replace batteries. The red wire popped of its pinhead solder joint on the switch, I had to back track to get to the switch and re-solder it, which was a challenge with the fine wires that get twisted before adding solder. (I was very thankful for my past electronic solder experience.) --Step 67: Use care with the stretchy part, making sure it is stable with parts F8, F9, and F10, before attaching the shelves made in steps before mounting Step 70 (J65) to the back of the room. Personally, I think the elastic door, would be better if it were a separate panel, to remove to access the battery pack! This could easily be a 5-star item, but I am giving it 4-stars because of the shattered chandelier part found immediately upon opening the kit's box, before I even started to assemble and the access to the battery pack on F4 with the elastic part as the trap door to get to the battery pack ... show more

  • Fun kit
The particle wood-like stuff is very nice and seems to be laser cut. The pieces are coated in like a thin layer of vinyl or something that the printing is on. The printing itself is high quality and detailed. I like that with the design of this build, most of it is self contained behind plexiglass which will prevent dust build up. The instructions are very detailed and easy to follow. It comes with everything you need, including craft glue. This set would make a great gift for any crafty or puzzle people. ... show more

  • Absolutely adorable
I like to assemble things, and I thought this was an interesting little project to get into. I was pleasantly satisfied with building this! All of the pieces go together pretty well, and they include a little sanding file for the bits that don't go as easily. The glue is included but only needed for a handful of items. Most of it just goes together with press-fitting. The pieces are sturdier than I expected them to be, given the amount of pressure I'd have to apply to some of them to get them to stick together flush. Did not break or deform a single piece! The instructions are plenty clear; however, I noticed the floor of the cafe has this black rectangle pattern on it. In the manual it's obviously meant to perfectly surround the bar counter. But there appears to be a misprint on the floor piece, the black rectangle is pushed all the way forward towards the entrance I'm glad it doesn't go all the way outside the building, because that would really mess up the aesthetics and immersion. You can see what I'm talking about in my photos. Creators, if you're reading this, you might want to check whatever printing machine you're using, I think the template fell out of place, please fix it. It's also wrong in the photos on the Amazon listing, I'm surprised you guys didn't catch that before posting it. Aside from that, very cute and fun to assemble. The lights look very realistic at almost every angle, very cool to see at night or in the daytime, honestly. The functionality of the touch switch is very clever and expected to be durable. I love that there is a lockable cut-out accordion panel in the back for ease of access to the batteries when you need to change them. 2-AAA batteries, not-included by the way, for anyone wondering. The whole thing is very cleverly designed, none of the bad is even near bad enough to deduct a star, it's very nice, good quality, light weight, a joy to look at and into once assembled. I truly adore this little cafe. Took me about 2 hours or so to assemble, by the way. ... show more
