this is my second pair of Cobra Grips, I bought my first pair 5 years ago which were the Pro Black Rubber version, I originally took a chance on the Cobra Grips because I was nursing a forearm injury from Deadlifting and these gloves helped a ton and that injury is a distant memory. the durability is amazing as the first pair lasted five years of daily workouts, I used them so much that the rubber started flaking and the gel was seeping out of the grips, I was also leaving black rubber residue all over the place, so it was time for an upgrade. this time around I went with the Pro Black Leather version and so far, I am not disappointed and they are as comfortable as my first pair and as a bonus I got a carrying case this time around, awesome. A workout partner was so impressed with the grips, he picked up a pair (Pro Blue Rubber) as well and he was a bit surprised by how much the grips had improved his compound lifts.     • unbelievable grip
Decided to go deadlift as soon as I got the straps today. Fair to say, I was super impressed! Having small hands, I have tried many different wrist straps in the past and I haven't been successful as they are super long for my hands. I have been using chalk for the last few years but stumbled upon these wrist straps and decided to buy them. I had a significant improvement in my deadlift weight without my hands/fingers giving out. I Compared to last week, I was able to lift about 20lbs more without much of a struggle. 10/10 would recommend this product to anyone who is struggling with their grip and want to increase their weight!! ... show more

    • No more grip failure

Second time ordering the Cobra Grips Pro V2 and again item shipped did not match the description. The description states 2-inch wide Velcro wrist straps and the item shipped had 1.5 wrist straps. I contacted grip power support and talked with Michael, and found out the description had not been updated as the original V2 had 2-inch wraps but due to feedback, they reduced to 1.5 inches. If I had known that at first I would have kept the LE brown leather I had originally ordered. After discussing with Michael how I was changing over to Cobra Grip Pro after a test run with a pair from a gent at the gym and found greatly improved gripping with these over gloves and 3" wrist wraps, I decided to keep the full rubber version I ordered the 2nd time around and test them out. Well after three workouts, I can say I really like these Cobra Grip Pros. I am on the short side with fingers that are on the short side as well and doing heavy deadlifts, rows, pulldowns, I no longer have finger failure around the bars and today was able to increase the weight from 320 to 360 in seated close grip rows and do seven reps vs the 320x8 reps I normally do on this machine. The rubber on the right grip feels stiffer than the left glove for the moment but with only three workouts under the belt with these gloves, I feel it will break in fine. I had no issues wrapping the bar and the initial thought of the 1.5-inch wrist wrap being too thin for my liking compared to the 3" Tuff Villian wraps I typically wear with gloves was a non-issue. Less grip failure/fatigue, more reps, and looks like possibly add on additional weight to some if not all my pulling exercises I give the Cobra Grip Pro a thumbs up and am glad I made the purchase. I took away one star as the description was incorrect as these have 1.5-inch wrist wraps and the description states two I was looking at 2-inch wrist wraps as I currently use 3" Villian wrist wraps and -thought 1.5-inch would feel like a tourniquet after 8 years of 3" inch wraps and though not an issue for me, the first pair I sent back due to miss description came with a storage bag for the gloves but these all rubber did not ship with a storage bag, but I don't use a storage bag for my leather lifting gloves so a non-issue as these has no effect on the gloves themselves. ... show more
