First - I would have given this 5 stars, but I had a problem I am considering a one-off at this time. The the softer, fuzzy part of the velcro of one glove became matted and couldn't attach to the other, plastic-catch part of the velcro. Since the velcro is sewn onto the gloves, their is no way to repair it. However, I returned the gloves and got a new pair. So far so good, and will update this, if the same problem occurs. I purchased the Cobra and Nayoya products and have used a friend's Versa Grips. Comparing the three: overall, Cobra and Versa grips are higher quality, more premium products, and are more expensive than the Nayoya grips. That said, Nayoya work well and have held up for many months. They are not as comfortable, and the strap/flap is a bit long for me, which makes it a little more difficult to wrap around bars. Also, with less padding around the wrists, the metal buckles dig into my wrists. One workaround I found is to put the left glove on my right hand and right on the left, which puts the buckle on the opposite side of my wrist and is more comfortable. The Cobra grips are as well-made and perform as well as the Versa Grips at a much lower price. I also prefer the fit and grip of the Cobra gloves. The padding around the wrists is more comfortable and prevents the metal buckle from digging into my wrists. Also, the length, thickness and enlarged end of the strap/flap is easy to apply to weight/lifting bars and grips well, without slipping. ... show more

    • Good, although I still prefer the Versa Grips, but it all comes down to personal preference so see below for main pts on both!

Bought these to replace my Versa Grips that I managed to leave at the gym one day like an idiot where they of course disappeared. I found these while searching for a cheaper alternative to the Versas as I was angry enough that I lost something so expensive and was hoping to save some money to soften the sting a bit. Unfortunately, it didn't work and now I have a pair of these as well as a new pair of Versa Grips. To be fair, these were solidly built and felt like they would last well. However, while they felt well made they just didn't feel as well made as the Versas. They also were way too slippery on the strap that goes around the bar. On the Versas that strap feels kind've sticky and helps keep your grip on the weight whereas these almost made it seem harder to hold onto due to that slipperiness. I also didn't like the padding on these. To me the padding around the wrist was much too thick and made it seem as though the straps wanted to slip off which made me feel I needed to strap them on even harder. To be fair, many people might very well prefer these over the Versas for the very reasons I'm stating I dislike them. I'm sure many people more foam padding where I prefer less padding. I think that between these and the Versas it really comes down to personal preference. If I could give these 3.5 stars I would as I don't feel they are a 3 but I wouldn't rate them a 4 either. Again, I really think it comes down to personal preference. Do you want a strap with lots of padding or one with less that stays more snug (in my opinion)? Do you want one with slippery-ish straps that is easier to wrap around the bar but harder to hold during the lift, or one with stickier straps that is a bit more difficult to position around the bar but stays stuck to your hand like it's glued there? In the end it will come down to what each person prefers and hopefully my experience will help you decide which wrap to get. ... show more

I love these lifting straps/grips more than I thought I would. I've used standard lifting straps for a while now and never thought to change it up until they ripped and I started looking for a replacement pair. I gave the Versa Gripps a good look after trying out my friend's pair but I saw these Cobra Grips and the price was right and the reviews looked good. If they were anything close to Versa Gripps I would be happy. So far I've had a couple training sessions in them and they are just as good if not better. They are surprisingly heavy duty and the grip is unbelievable compared to standard straps. I feel like my arms are glued to the bar with these on. The velcro wrist closure is also very comfortably padded and the range of adjustability seems as though it would fit the majority of wrists out there. I kept them on throughout sets without them bothering me very much (I'm the type that constantly takes off/on wrist wraps). I've also been dealing with some tennis elbow issues and pull days would often cause flare ups (if only I wasn't to stubborn to properly rest). With these grips I wasn't nagged by the elbow one bit since they were able to completely take my grip out of certain movements. I was able to add a couple reps to my rows and weighted pull ups without even trying. And the ease of use alone makes this product worth it. Straps take a little bit to setup perfectly, especially if you are using them on max weight days, but these grips have just enough material to wrap around the bar and also give a wide platform to hold onto making it a breeze to set up every time. Simply put, they are easier to use, more secure on your wrists and offer a superior grip to standard straps. I'm already looking into another pair for my lady since her weak grip can really limit some of her lifts. Don't hesitate to get these! ... show more
