I'm remodeling my hearth room and I want to add accent lights to the cabinets. I found this on Amazon and thought I'd give it a try. The LED's work great. There's a remote to dim and a timer. The photo is of the rolled up light before I installed. I always do this to make sure it works before installation. Sticky on the back to adhere. The end to plug in it about 3/8 th of an inch... so a small hole and you can hide the wire behind the cabinet. I liked it enough that I ordered a second pack to do another cabinet. When everything is done I'll update with another photo. This is a quality set of lights and I think you'll like it.

Its hard to get an idea of led light strips from a description, but these are much better than the older style that has visible dots. This strip has a diffused light which is perfectly even. Choose the color temperature you want when you order ( I got the cool white for my garage but a warmer color would look better in a kitchen) because these are a set color and they get BRIGHT! I first plugged them in and hit the 50% button and I was pretty surprised at just how bright they were half way. The work great for the trim under lower kitchen cabinets, under the tops of islands, or bookshelves, the list goes on and on. They don't have to be ran super bright all the time. The strips can be cut to different lengths and there are 5-7 power/terminal splice connectors included with the kit. You can then pick up another power supply or two and not have to waste any of the strip. This enables you to use the whole roll in various places and have much less waste or feel the need to use the whole length in one area, or hide the extra when you have too much. The remote can also be paired to multiple strips to control them all at once, and it comes with a wall mount with a sticky tape backed frame. It has a timer function built in as well so you can use that option so you don't have to return to turn them off before bed. There is adhesive tape along the entire length of the light strip as well as some cable securers included with the kit. Be sure to clean down the surface and prep it before sticking it on, you want to get all any oil or dust up to have the best results! Also be careful not to push the strip on too hard when you're adhering it in place, you could damage the lights if you're overly forceful!

I received this light strip in its own protective box in excellent condition. I have reviewed a number of Bunacet lighting products over the last two years and they have all been excellent. This COB strip is no exception. It works well and meets my expectations. It's 6.5K which is a cool, natural light. It's a 24 volt strip which supports running longer lengths. It's quite bright. The remote works as expected: on/off, various brightness levels and a couple of timer settings. The strip is 40' (I checked by determining it spanned two adjacent 20 foot wide rooms.) -- a benefit of being a 24 volt strip. The power supply is rated at 24 volts, 3 amps output, i.e. 72 watts. From my past experience, 72 watts should be sufficient for a 40' COB strip, but not by a wide margin. I use these kinds of COB strips (including some other Bunacets) on a model train layout where I'm doing computer-controlled, location-specific lighting. I use a dedicated high power 24 volt supply and PWM to power and control brightness. This has worked well, particularly with the Bunacet strips. This particular strip will be deployed in my 10' by 10 study around the ceiling perimeter (40' is perfect.) The kit includes mounting hardware and the strips have double stick tape on their backs. Previous Bunacet strips I've mounted on fixed surfaces have stuck reliably for six months (so far) and more. I expect this strip will also. I've attached a photo of a portion of this strip lighting up a doorway in an otherwise dark room. Forty feet of it will light my study quite well.

I am VERY happy with this kit. It nails all the check boxes: looks good, easy to use, bright, plenty long, includes everything needed, RF remote. I used it for under-cabinet lights in the kitchen and the effect is excellent. Seriously I was blown away with how it turned out. I've used a lot of RGB tape lights, but this is the first time I've used COB (chip on board) LED tape. It's way easier to work with because it's narrower, thinner, more flexible, and the adhesive is strong. The kit includes everything you need to run a continuous circuit. I did buy some 90 degree connectors which I highly recommend. The included connectors are helpful if you need to cut and splice the strip. Better yet, I found that you can open and remove the wire from the included connectors and use your own ~18AWG stranded wire (see pics). This allowed me to easily extend the circuit through cabinets. I fully expected to need to do some soldering for this project, but none was required! The strip is thin enough to fit through a 5/16" hole, though the power connector will need a 1/2" hole. I wired a power plug to a light switch for easy on/off, although the RF remote works great too. It can easily change the brightness, and there appears to be some timer settings as well, though i doubt we'll use it. Attached are a few photos of the installation. The off/on photos were taken with the same shutter and ISO for accurate visual comparison. I certainly recommend this kit and will be buying another for my parent's kitchen remodel. Excellent product.
