UPDATE 1/22/23. This stuff has been the best window covering I’ve ever purchased. It is still on the windows after years and hasn’t even attempted to peel off. And it still looks beautiful! 2/13/2022: After a year, every piece is still up as the day it was installed and it still looks amazing. I'm very happy with this. It's been through the toddler test and has held up nicely. Highly recommend this if you want some privacy or just to give your windows a new look. Not one piece has fallen off and I do have the texture on the outside where the grandkids are touching it from time to time. I patiently applied this on 15 individual windows for our pantry door and I'm so pleased with how it turned out! It completely conceals what is inside the pantry and I love that! It was pretty easy to install, once I got the hang of it. Also, used some leftover to put on the bottom of a bathroom window for some more privacy and it was a breeze to install. Needed to buy a privacy film after my friend told me that she could see through my front door window. I searched high and low for one that would provide what I needed including privacy and one way view. Although it isn’t one way view it does give me the privacy I need and it doesn’t disrupt the design of the window. The installation instructions were really simple and easy to follow. I’d say it took me approximately 20 mins or less to install. The adhesion is great too just use water and something to squeeze out the air bubbles and you’re done. You can also reuse the film again, which is a bonus. I would definitely buy again if I need more. ... show more

When it's wound the right way (like the last roll) this stuff works well. When it's wound the wrong way, the corners come up and it's a nightmare to deal with. Comparison with Clear Contact Paper: COST: Contact Paper less expensive, but Coavas Static Cling was still a good price, especially for the size of the roll. SIZE: The 36" roll of Coavas worked great and there was less cutting and waste. INSTRUCTIONS: Use Windex instead of water. Use a cheap plastic scraper - don't spend the money on a squeegee - the scraper works fine. AIR BUBBLES: MUCH EASIER to remove bubbles from the Coavas. In fact, it was no trouble at all. Contact Paper took MANY TRIES, popping with pins, etc., and was very time-consuming and frustrating. CREASES: No creasing with the Coavas, but still be careful that you don't fold it or wrinkle it when pulling back the protective film. This film was a bit hard to get started. Just keep working at a corner of the film by pressing into it with your fingernail and eventually it will separate and you'll be able to peel. Lots of creases and lines with Contact Paper if you're not careful. CUTTING: Contact Paper is easier to cut because it has a grid marked out on the protective film. If you cut the piece exactly to specs and your window is square, there is no need to include the 1" excess on all sides of the Coavas. It's kind of a hassle to cut off the excess with an x-acto knife. Make sure your blade is new. MATERIAL: Coavas is nice and thick with good texture. Contact Paper is thinner and smoother. Both provide good coverage and look nice. OVERALL: While clear Contact Paper is less expensive and can be purchased at most major retailers, Coavas is easier to work with, comes in a more convenient size, and looks nicer. ... show more

    • Good window cover, adhesion a challenge!

I've tried a few different patterns for privacy on windows, and this one is very nice. Only problem is getting these to stick to the window even if you saturate with water as directed. The corners always come loose, and I've had to secure with push pins.
