I needed a sturdy end table to hold a heavy family heirloom lamp, somewhat plain to not detract from the lamp being the centerpiece, but not "rustic." I also needed it to be 24" diameter and 22-24" high, so my choices were somewhat limited by dimensions. I am very pleased with the style, sturdiness, and quality of this table. If the description didn't indicate it was MDF, I don't think I would have known it. I think parts of it are real wood. Assembly was absurdly easy. It took me about 15 minutes, but that was only because I was being overcautious to do it right. I'm not great at assembly-by-picture. Having spread out a sheet on the floor before emptying the box, in anticipation of the bag of "bolts and nuts and cams and..." , I found two table surfaces, four legs, and are you ready, the "bag" contained eight pieces plus a hex wrench! Eight *metal* bolts each with two metal washers already on them. Plus, they screwed into *metal* holes on the legs, by hand, then tightened with the wrench. Everything was perfectly aligned. One suggestion -- don't overwork trying to hold the tapered leg into it's slot while assembling. With the sturdy metal hole, I found that holding the leg lightly and screwing the bolt in slowly by hand actually pulled the leg perfectly into place. For anybody very discerning, the stain on one of the legs was uneven or rubbed and the hole down at the tapered end of one leg had been plugged and re-drilled. The visual was not an issue, I just put that leg in back. I actually found the fixed hole to be another great thing about this piece. There was obviously some quality control. I would not have been able to fix this myself. Great value for the money!

Based on the pictures I thought the table would be a darker color (which is why I took off 1 start). Please be aware the table wood color is much lighter. I've uploaded 2 pics so you can see the actual color. Other than that it's a nice heavy coffee table.

The other tables listed work fine. No quality issues. However, the way this one is packaged just sets it up for failure during transit. No damage on the box whatsoever, just the way the weight is distributed kills it. Returned one from damage, and I get the second one that's not only damaged there, but completely broken off.

I bought this because we needed an end table that was a dark brown (almost black) color to match our coffee table. It fits the bill for that. It's also very sturdy, once assembled. The problems I had while assembling, however, were BAD. I'm an avid do-it-yourselfer, and have lots of tools and experience. I don't have issues with things that the regular Harry-Homemaker does, but this table was terrible to assemble. There were no spare bolts that came in the hardware kit, and one of the bolts was missing the slot in the head for the allen wrench. It was just a solid bolt head. Thank God I had extra bolts from other furniture projects I've done. That takes care of that problem, but I doubt many other people would've had the extras that I have. Next, there were two holes that should've been drilled in the gussets in the corners of the table top, that weren't drilled. They just passed the thing through QC, and obviously didn't check it. The funny thing was that the "PASSED" QC sticker was right next to one of the gussets that wasn't drilled. I had to take the thing to my drill press and carefully measure the hole locations and drill them. I don't mind doing woodworking projects at all, but the fact that I paid for something that was supposed to be easy to assemble really rubs me raw. Hope this helps future buyers.

The table is very nice and sturdy when assembled. I am pleased with it overall. I have the end tables and sofa table that match. However, since it is easier to install the legs and shelf upside down I didn't notice a problem. Once it was completely together, I noticed some blemishes in the paint/stain on the surface of the bottom shelf that was very unsightly. At that point, the pieces are out of the box and nearly impossible to repack. A little disappointing on an otherwise nice piece of furniture.

It took me a little more time than I expected to spend when assembling it. It is simple. There aren't many parts. However, I didn't think about having to leave the first set of brackets loose until I'd fit in the bottom shelf, then tighten all the brackets. It looks great. It is sturdy. It fits the space well. I love the color and the slight pattern. I'd buy another if I ever need one.

My mom needed a coffee table. I did some research read some reviews, this is by far the best quality for the price.. Easy breezy to assemble. 8 bolts. 4 for the top, 4 for the bottom. Beautiful color, nice sturdy, heavy table. Love the fact that the corners are all rounded off, no sharp corners. Great purchase.

I bought this table as my existing sofa table was made of glass and I wanted to move it into another room and put plants on it. However I have lamps on the existing table so I couldn’t just go without it. I was looking for something fairly inexpensive but attractive. I certainly scored on this one. It looks better than the table that I had there previously and I really like the lower shelf for storage.
