  • Great storage and durable
I love this! I bought it to store my dog food and cat food so I bought two. They are great size. The dog food is a 20lb and cat food 22lb bag and barely covered the bottom. So I’m buying more food to fill it up. The doors open and close well no issues. There is a spot to lock it if you need to. I don’t need to as I have little dogs and it’s on a storage shelf in my laundry room. There was no damage to either one when they arrived. So far they seem very easy to clean just wipe off as needed. They are light weight but sturdy. I’ve had no issues with mine so far. Great for stacking for sure. I’m very happy with my purchase. ... show more

  • Great space saving nice looking procuct!
I love these storage containers! I store my cat food and dog food in these bins. Because they stack it saves so much space versus having separate non stacking containers for each. They are secure and look clean and tidy! The only thing I would say that could be better is they could be a little sturdier. Your heavier bin has to be on the bottom or it will cave in the top a bit. I wanted my heavier one on top because I use it more. Not a big problem but just something that could improve a little. I love these storage containers and would highly recommend them! ... show more

  • If you plan on stacking look elsewhere or fix a table for one to sit on.
I’ve had these for almost a year now. They work okay. They store a lot of food and keep it fresh which I love. But I bought these for the stackable feature and the plastic is to thin to stack these. The plastic bent in and it wobbled so easily if my dog went and nudged it, It would fall so I definitely couldn’t have that with a toddler around. My dad built me a small custom fitted table to fight snugly over the bottom box and sturdy enough to hold up the top box. Without this I could not be able to stack these boxes. ... show more

  • Good all-around design & function.
Good all-around design & function. Hold about 45 lbs of dry Costco dog food, so when you get to half a bag in the container, you tilt it up, and can dump a new 30-lb bag in. It works best if you tilt it up to pour the new food in. The door snaps shut, and works fine for our 60-lb mixed mutt in pic, who is well behaved (He won't even eat the food out of a scoop sitting next to his dish until we put it in the dish;-). If your dog is a bit of a rascal and works at it, they may be able to pop the door open with their claws. In that case, there is a pad-lock hasp that you could put a karabiner in to keep it shut. ... show more

  • It held a 28 pound bag of dog food with room to spare. Might hold a 40.
We like this storage solution. It holds a big bag of food and it’s easy to open. We don’t have to use the lock option but if your dog was particularly smart or strong, you might need to. The door closes with a click, but I think a determined paw could probably open it. If that was the case, you could sit the unit on something to raise it off the floor to hinder access. We only have the one unit, so I can’t speak to stack-ability. The plastic doesn’t seem to be super sturdy (I think other reviews address this) so if you were stacking, lighter items might need to be the top units. ... show more

  • Workable, but far from perfect.
Having two large dogs mean you go through a lot of dog food and because our two dogs have different food we needed a way to easily organize their food in our pantry. We wanted an easy to use setup that would allow us to keep our dog food accessible, and not make the process of feeding our dogs more difficult than it had to be. We bought these units after researching that they would be large enough to hold 24lbs of kibble and they have lived up to that need. The units are stackable, and the tilted doors appear to make it easy to refill them as needed, though I can tell you now that unless you're a gifted weightlifter it is extremely difficult to pour 24lbs of dog food into these units as they sit. The food will pile up in the front and if you're not careful will overflow onto the floor. I personally unstack the two units we have and then place them on their back sides with the doors facing up to refill them. This works well enough, though you must then restack them back to their location. Were the filling problem their only downfall I would have given these units 4 stars as they met the needs I had. Unfortunately the biggest problem is that while they are stackable they are not capable of holding the weight of a stacked unit! We have two units stacked and the roof of the bottom unit has already caved in under the weight of the upper unit, which at most has 30lbs of food in it. While the cave in is relatively minor (only about 1/2" on the front right corner) it has caused the top unit to be uneven which means we cannot put anything on top of it as it would slide off. The doors themselves open and close fine, and while they have a rubber seal and clipped latches I would not trust them to be air tight or keep out a naughty dog while you're not around. We keep our bins in a pantry with a handle closed door but I do feel that a medium to large sized dog would have no trouble opening these on their own. Lastly they should provide stickers to label the boxes, or at least a flat, un-textured area on the front where you could apply a label. When anyone other than our family looks after our dogs we have to tell them which bin is for which dog since we cannot label them. The stickers we have tried have just fallen off. Overall, these units are usable, but have enough flaws I would recommend looking for other solutions. They work for us for now, but I do not feel confident they will be a permanent solution. ... show more

  • Absolutely not stackable
These are supposed to hold 18 gallons of dog food and be stackable. I got them, put food in them, stacked them. Day 2, the bottom one collapsed in on itself, sending the top one flying. Wasting $200 of specialty dog food for my special needs dog. Huge waste of money.

  • It's plastic, its stackable, the kids love it, and it makes julien fries! But wait there's more...
It's plastic, its stackable, the kids love it, and it makes julien fries! But wait there's more... J/K it holds dog food and it's stackable. We have two of them since our dogs have different diets and require different foods. Stack them up and they take up very little space. They have little feet on the bottom that are designed to fit into little notches in the top of another one so that they rest securely on one another. There's a place for a lock, though I don't need it I can't imagine it would be to secure as it is just plastic. If you buy one make sure to wash it out as mine was full of plastic shavings probably from the mfg process. Over all a very handy little container that makes feeding time more efficient. ... show more
