  • Excellent quality CNC Router
Style: 6060-1
The media could not be loaded. This Axiscreat machine is incredible value for what you're getting. From the start, everything was very well packaged with foam cutouts to fit each piece. I was very surprised at how easy this was to setup compared to my in laws X-Carve that I had the pleasure of helping build (not that fun) and it exceeded my expectations. Everything is labeled so you know exactly which cable goes into which stepper, limit switch, etc. It has features that I didn't even consider, such as the flexible light near the spindle, the built in mpg function on the controller so you can easily move the machine around even if you aren't connected to a PC, the magnetic holder for the touch probe, etc. These are features I haven't really seen on other machines near this price. The xcarve does not have these and none of the 3018 machines have them. This machine has a 32bit controller, which is great for gcode compatibility. Some other machines with older 8 bit controllers have issues processing lines quick enough and can cause issues. The build quality on this is very nice. Each piece fits easily and the materials don't feel cheap at all. I love the paint scheme on it and I didn't see any issues with the paint quality at all. It's loud. It's running a router so that's expected. It's no louder than the xcarve or any other router machine. The stepper drivers are the silent type so the machine, while not cutting, is very quiet. You can jog around and find your workpiece zero without noisy drivers. I've managed to create several nice pieces without a single issue so far. They provide you with extra brushes for the router, extra belts, a couple very nice quality endmills, and more. If you want to make signs, 3d carvings, engraving, etc. Do yourself a favor and pick this up. It will do all of that with no issue and you'll save a ton over the competitors. 10/10, I'm incredibly happy with this purchase and having so much fun making new projects. ... show more

1. The holddowns shipped with the machine do not work. They are for a T track which this doesn't have. 2. Not all tools needed for assembly are included. 3. The spindle doesn't turn on. 4. The spindle mount fell off and will not stay in place. 5. The spindle Z axis limit switch is defective. 6. Returning product. Too many problems. ... show more

  • One of the best value hobby CNC in its price range on Amazon
Style: 6060-1
This CNC machine is a belt-driven, wheel-based system with a cutting area of 600 x 600 x 95 mm—and it’s priced surprisingly well. After using it for a month and tinkering around, I’m ready to share my thoughts. First Things First I want to point out that CNC machining is quite different from 3D printing, even if the motion systems look similar. I’ve seen people who’ve only worked with 3D printers expect a similarly straightforward experience and end up frustrated. CNC machining isn’t hard if you learn the basics. It doesn’t matter if your machine costs $500 or $5,000—you need to know about things like feed rates, bit types, chip load, and creating toolpaths to get good results. Software Advice Most of these hobby CNCs run on open-source GRBL firmware, which means you don’t need expensive commercial software to operate them. While the machine comes with an offline controller, if you want to use your computer there are quite a few options, I like OpenBuilds Control—easy to use, reliable, and free. Now I can go back to my experience with Axiscreat 6060 CNC. Specifications and Build : Cutting Area: 600 x 600 x 95 mm Recommended Speed: Up to 3,000 mm/min Design and Components: 1. The X and Y axes are belt-driven, each supported by four wheels on top and two adjustable wheels underneath for stability. 2. The Z axis uses linear rails and a small ballscrew—solid with minimal flex for a belt-driven machine of this size. 3. Thick ~8.5 mm aluminum side plates support both the X and Z axes. 4. Custom 6020 extrusions for the X and Y axes provide good frame stiffness. 5. All parts feature a smooth, hard-anodized finish with quality paint and solid construction. 6. Nema 17 stepper motors—standard but reliable. 7. A 32-bit control board with an offline controller—a standout feature at this price. The offline controller is highly capable and a rare inclusion in budget-friendly machines. 8. Clean cabling with aviation plugs for secure, organized connections. 9. Comes with a 700W trim router, a huge upgrade from typical 75W brushed motors found in this price range, providing ample power out of the box. 10. The spoilboard consists of two MDF pieces, with smaller supports in the middle that offer minimal flex reduction (more on this in the cons section). 11. The router’s speed is adjusted manually, but power control is integrated with the control board, adding safety. Setup: Assembly is quick and straightforward. Since the X and Y axes come pre-assembled, you only need to screw the components together to finish the build. A helpful tip: leave the screws loose until everything is aligned, then tighten them to avoid misalignment issues. If I were to do it again, I’d start by attaching the Y axis to the X axis first—the tight L-support tolerances could otherwise scratch the anodized finish. PROS: 1. Largest cutting area in its price range among the ones I have seen on Amazon—most competitors offer only 4040 machines, which feel quite small by comparison. 2. The actual cutting area is around 620 x 620 mm, comfortably fitting a full 600 x 600 piece. That’s 2.25 times the surface area of a 4040 machine. 3. Good stiffness for a belt-driven machine—far more solid than expected for its size. 4 .The Z-axis has minimal flex and over 90 mm of travel, even with the trim router installed. Stiffness hasn’t been an issue. 5. The Z-axis uses linear rails and a ballscrew, making it comparable or better than most sub-$1,000 options. 6. Comes with a powerful 700W trim router, eliminating the immediate need for upgrades. The next meaningful step would be a brushless spindle. 7. Offline controller is easy to use and supports SD cards—a rare bonus at this price. 8. The Nema 17 motors with belt and wheel setup run quietly. 9. Offers incredible value around $600, far outclassing similar machines like the 4040 models with 75W spindles and no offline controller. 10. The large cutting area and belt-driven design should also make it ideal for laser cutting, with a laser module socket on the control box. 11. A Z-probe with a strain gauge mounts conveniently on the top of the Z-axis. Note: probe offsets need tuning in the settings the initial value was too high. 12. Well-thought-out packaging. CONS: 1. The spoilboard is supported by only two small MDF pieces in the middle, which allows noticeable flex. Adding a thicker MDF layer underneath helps, but a sturdier design would improve stability. 2. The trim router, similar to a Makita, has low torque at lower speed settings (1–2), making it prone to stalling. It performs well at higher speeds. 3. Attaching the drag chains to the X and Y axes involves tightening four screws in hard-to-reach spots, making installation tricky. 4 .The Y-axis drag chain connects to the control box, but the box’s height prevents placing it directly next to the machine. I’ve kept mine detached for now—this could use a design tweak. 5. All cables connect through a single aviation plug, making repairs harder if one cable fails. Individual connectors would simplify fixes. 6. Even at its lowest position, the router sits too high. You’ll need a 3" bit to reach the spoilboard or add another MDF layer to raise the surface. 7. The SD card slot is in a tight, awkward spot, making it tricky to access. 8. The manual could be more detailed and user-friendly for a smoother experience. Conclusion Overall, this is one of the best CNC machines available in the $600 range on Amazon. It offers a large cutting area, solid stiffness for wood and soft materials, and even handles light metal engraving. The included 700W trim router and offline controller make it a complete, ready-to-go package. Its built-in laser module port also makes it an excellent platform for laser cutting. This machine is very good for hobbyists and beginners, providing very good value with minimal compromises. However one should still check parts for defects and alignments during setup. I would rate this as 4-4.5 out of 5. Note 1: While it should be able to cut metal at very slow speeds, machines like this (or similar models such as the similar belt driven orange 4040 machines on Amazon) aren’t designed for serious metalwork. For that, you’ll need a smaller, heavier machine, preferably with ballscrews and linear rails. Note 2: The manufacturer appears committed to ongoing design improvements, including better manuals, wiring updates, probe tuning, tighter tolerances, and planning to introduce different-sized versions in the future. I appreciate their responsiveness and wish them the best in refining this product further. Note3: I have used an upcut bit for the uploaded pictures hence the top edges are not as clean as they should. Using a compression or downcut bit or a little bit of sanding after the cut takes care of this but I wanted to give the exact output. ... show more
