Great mic for the price. For a starter this is great. All I am doing is some voice overs for recorded video. Clear sound. I assume a 500 dollar mic would be better but for the money I say give it a shot. Even if you are running some high end equipment this should be a fine back up mic if ever needed. it's a decent mic great sound quality, but it doesn't have sound settings to help improve the sound. the mic is way to sensitive and it picks up a lot of background noise. Just last weekend my friends could hear the birds chirping outside in the background through a closed window. If you're on a budget this is a great choice but if you can splurge spend an extra 5 to 10 and get a mic that has a tuner on the actual mic and one that has tuners on the computer you can mess with. The stand for the microphone is flimsy at best, and since it has very little weight it tips over fairly easy wth the mic and pop filter attached, unless you have the top part of the microphone (with the mute button) pointing towards you as suggested in a different review. The arm that holds the pop filter is also very flimsy. Mine popped out of the slot it fits in just trying to move it to a new position, and it does not hold position well at all. You have to adjust it pretty far past where you want it and hope it settles in the right spot. The mute button itself does not always work well, and I found I have to be holding the bottom of the mic while I push the mute button to get it to work. Setup is incredibly easy, and the sound quality is, pretty good? Background noise is reduced less than with the mic that comes with my headset, but my own voice is louder and clearer. For the price, it's a decent microphone. I may return it because honestly the detachable one that came with my headset is better outside of the fact that I'm a little quieter, but if your headset has poor quality I suppose I'd recommend this. I give this a "world's most okay-est microphone" out of 10. ... show more
