Though this umbrella costs a little bit more than what you can find at one of those big convenience stores, the build quality is definitely much better. The handle provides a firmer grip and the button mechanism to open and close the umbrella works well and seems sturdy. The umbrella material isn't super thin and does not feel like it'll tear easily. This umbrella is great because it easily fits in my daughter's backpack with all her other school books and supplies. This umbrella opens large enough to protect her and her backpack from getting too wet on her walk to or from school. It is easy to open with just one hand. She struggles a little to close it but I really think that is user error on her part. The material is good and looks like it holds up well. This is a small umbrella. It would due on a rainy day but not in a storm. Also the color was way closer to lime green than what was pictured. Mainly got it for the color so that was disappointing. Great to keep in the car or a small bag in case you're caught off guard with weather.

I bought this umbrella because I thought it was super cute but it broke on the first use. I was no longer able to close the umbrella. I gave it the benefit of the doubt and returned it and ordered a new one and the new one also broke on the first use in the exact way.
