  • What a great, priced right, light tent.
Color: Green Size: 2 Person
Hiking, biking, car or backyard camping, this tent isn’t going to let you down 2.5 - 3 seasons out of the year. The manufacturing is good. Set up is fast with only two aluminum, shock-corded poles and external tent clip on hooks. It’s so easy! For the price and the features you get this is a nice lightweight tent. ... show more

  • Great single tent.
Color: Green Size: 1 Person
Pros 1) if you used a single person tent before it follows that standard design. 2) lightweight 3) nice bag for transporting 4) zipper quality appears solid 5) easy to takedown and to setup. 6) no issues with some rain (not sure about a storm) 7) material quality is pretty good 8) adequate room for the size. Cons 1) they shipped me the wrong rain fly (outer cover) so I discovered this in the middle of nowhere however I was able to make it work. However I decided to email them on return and they had a quick turn around to sending me the correct rain fly. So they resolved this con. Summary Great tent and also great after sales support. ... show more

  • Good value for the money, but be careful about the size
Color: Orange Size: 1 Person
I bought this tent for the rare situations when I want the smallest enclosed tent possible. Even though a 2-person tent doesn't take up much more space in a pack than a 1-person tent, sometimes you just need to save every cubic inch. For those cases, this tent is just fine. The good: * It's small. Inside the included compression sack, it's about the size of a loaf of sliced bread — maybe a shade larger. It's also very light. * It's dead simple to put together. Without even reading the instructions, it took me maybe two and a half minutes to set up. I'm not bragging, there's just not much to figure out here. * Taped seams: I haven't tried it in the rain, but getting taped seams at this price is very nice. * Comes with a hanging organizer, which you will certainly need, because there's no room to store anything in here (for example, laying your eyeglass on the ground next to you would be a terrible idea in this very cramped tent). The bad: * I'm 5'10, 250 lbs, and if I lay down in it with my arms at my sides, my elbows touch the sides of the tent. In a sleeping bag, I'm pretty much squeezed in like a sardine. I know, I know: I bought a small tent, that's the whole point. But if it were like... 10% larger, I think it'd be just about perfect. * It does not feel especially durable. Time will tell on this, but I suppose you get what you pay for. * Because of the size, you can pretty much only sit up in one spot, right in the middle of the tent. Again, that's what you get with a small tent, but the center of the tent is where the organizer hangs, so if you're storing anything, you can't even sit up without bumping into it. * I'd love to have another organizer pocket somewhere in the tent, because, as mentioned, you can't store anything on the ground. Overall, though, happy with the purchase at this price. ... show more

  • Worked Great in Boundary Waters
Color: Green Size: 1 Person
I bought this tent for a 10 night canoe trek in the Boundary Waters area of Minnesota. The tent worked great. It was easy to set up and take down every day and fit back nicely in its storage bag. The bag was compact but still had room for a plastic sheet that I used as a tent base. The total weight was less than 4 lbs which was important during our portages. The tent remained dry through several heavy rain storms. I am 5’8” and I found the size just about right for a one person tent. I still had room to store some gear and I had enough space to sit up and change clothes. I don’t think the tent would be suitable for anyone over 6’. Overall I am very pleased with this tent and consider it a great value. I expect to get a lot more use out of it. I saw another reviewer was puzzled about the extra short piece of tube. That tube is for an emergency joint repair in case one of the tent pole joints failed, hopefully you will never need it. ... show more

  • Just enough room, packs down small, holds in heat
Color: Orange Size: 1 Person
After using a bivouac type one-man tent, this tent has just enough height to sit up in which is great for setting up just before laying down for the night, or first thing in the morning before emerging from a temporary cave to face the day. There is just enough width for my air mattress, and water bottle and other small stuff on one side. There is also enough room at the head for extras like hat, gloves, sweater caps, etc. I used this tent for bike packing. The poles fold up shorter than my biv one-man tent. So the tent fits better on my rear rack… it sits fully on the rack without hanging over. The overall narrow width makes it easy to put up the tent in the smallest of spaces which opens up more potential placements at camp sites. The ground tarped vestibule is decent sized to keep shoes, jackets, helmet, pannier dry on one half while maintaining an area to get out and stand up. I pack a 5-ft x 8-ft tarp… when folded in half fits pretty well in the covered vestibule area. Great to keep your feet clean and thus the tent, sleeping bag too. The first night I slept in it was warm, so with the tent fully zipped up I was too warm. The next night I slept with the fly unzipped and tied back as shown in the picture. It vented very well. When the temperatures drops, it will be nice to retain more heat zipped up. The fabric is also heavier than some similar tents, which likely adds to the heat retention (and durability). The heavier material is reflected in the weight. At 4-lbs, it’s no lightweight, but is reasonable for the durable fabric. Better IMO than super light, thin fabric. This really is a 3-4 season tent… will be great in the Pacific Northwest where it gets cold, but not frigid as long as I’m below the snow line. The tension straps work super slick. I attach the tie downs to the fly and leave them there, so I just put the loop around the stake, tension the line by sliding the plastic clip towards to tent and lock the cord into the clip. Done. When it comes time to pack up, I just pull the cord down. It unlocks, de tensions and that’s it. There storage pockets on the side and the one overhead is great to put a watch in, glasses, lights, phone, cyclo computer, charger, etc. All in all, it checks the boxes for what I need. ☑️ durable and warm ☑️ Packs down small ☑️ reasonably light weight ☑️ big enough, with minimal footprint area ☑️ perfect sized covered vestibule area ☑️ Inexpensive ( about 40% less than another tent I was considering which was a little lighter (less durable and true 3-season tent) I will have to see how it handles the rain. I do have a footprint for it from a different manufacturer. Fits perfectly and should protect against wet ground. So as long as the fly sheds water well, it should be cozy and dry. I’ll problem seal the seams and spray the fly. ... show more
