This book is by far my favorite one in the "Edge of Reality" series. I like how the character's in this story are both relatable and descriptive with their open emotions and interactions with each other. Chad is the perfect example of an all-star high school teen who has just about everything he wants. It isn't enough for him, though, and he learns later on a shocking lesson about the price you pay for not being grateful for what and who you have in your life. The manipulation he uses and mistreatment of others in order to try to have the "perfect" millionaire life backfires little by little. I like how his closet kind of has a double meaning to it; it can be seen as both a place to hide and a transformation of sorts. This book has a nice suspenseful pace to it that builds up and has you guessing what's going to happen next. What's lurking around the corner, and is it really magic or all in his head? How does it affect time and space? You'll have to read and find out! ... show more

Excellent work! If you are a fan of the series the twilight zone you will really enjoy this work. It’s an easy quick read that will have you engaged the entire time. The twist and turns and the unexpected result from the story keeps the reader captivated. So many people can relate to high school drama between the star athlete and the high school, sweetheart… however this story takes a sharp turn. OMG! "Closet" by John Landrine is, uh, I don't know how to describe it. It starts out normal with a sexist pig who's full of himself. Then he finds something that gives him real power and he goes off. All I can say is -- you won't believe how this ends. You have to read this. Sometimes, you love the main character so much that you want to see everything work out for him. This is not one of those stories. The tension that builds throughout this tale pays off in a satisfying yet unexpected ending. The characters are well-developed, and the plot is original and intriguing.
