Was really excited to see a black/brown mascara. It goes on nicely and makes my eyelashes look fuller and longer. Sadly, this mascara flakes off throughout the day. I no longer wear glasses so there is nothing to disguise the smudging under my eyes. I have not seen this in a couple years but will go back to my Lancôme Me Big black and hope they come out with a brown version. ... show more

This is fantastic mascara. I love Clinique products! This mascara, especially, works great for my lashes, which tend to be short but average thickness. This mascara makes my lashes look super long - and adds some volume, too, which I really like. And it is buildable, so more coats means it looks more dramatic - and therefore it's easy to control. I rarely write reviews on products, but this one compelled me to express my views. I used to love Clinique products. This is the worst mascara I've ever used in my 50ish years of wearing makeup! I don't know if I got a bad batch or what happened but it absolutely did not measure up to the description. It was not non-clumping, it was not water resistant, it was not long-lasting. It was actually a mess. The first day I used it, it seemed fine, but it went downhill after that. It came out in big globs that did not allow me to separate my eyelashes. There were tons of small hairs on the brush every time I used it. I assume the hairs were there help lengthen your lashes which I don't really need. I've never seen anything quite like this. It was so weird. Trying to clean it off on the tube or with my fingers caused a huge mess and trying to use the brush to separate my eyelashes caused me to get black globs on my eyelid and other nearby areas. The struggle was real and I finally gave up. It was just too much work to try to get a decent result. I've never had a mascara like this. After several days, I finally sent it back. I have a hard time believing the reviewers that say it's great. Saddened by this lack of quality from Clinique. I would give it zero Stars if I could. I'm going back to my old brand. ☹️ ... show more
