I feel like I am forever on a quest for the perfect foundation. No two brands and formulations are ever alike -- and up until now, I really haven't been loyal to any particular brand. To achieve the right tint, consistency and finish, I've often resorted to mixing together two different foundations. So, with that outlook and experience, I was happy to try Clinique Daily Calm Balm. For starters, I knew my sensitive skin was safe: Clinique is known for allergy-testing all of its products. Now, 5 days in to using Daily Calm, I'm really impressed! This foundation balm feels good on my skin and is nearly undetectable: it neither looks nor feels like I am wearing foundation. As promised, it visibly evens skin tone with just a sheer application. It wears well throughout the day. And -- although it hasn't yet left my bathroom -- I love the portability of the compact (vs a bottle): I bet that will travel well. Finally, Clinique claims Daily Calm "improves the look and feel of bare skin over time" -- so only time will tell.
