This was purchased as an alternative to reheating breakfast sandwiches for days when sitting down for a traditional breakfast was out of the question. Reheating generally led to cold spots in the sandwiches (or breakfast burritos), having to deal with the mess of wrapping it in foil or a baggie, and the need to eat it quickly before it either went cold or risked spoilage. We went through some research when looking into protein bars, because many use whey as their prime source of nutrients. Having sensitive stomachs, that simply didn't fly, so we were happy when we found the Clif builder bars. They're an awesome tasting, very filling, excellent source of protein. 20 grams per bar, to be exact. They're convenient to throw in your purse or work bag, and can easily be eaten with no mess or fuss while driving, using the computer, or multitasking on any level. The vanilla almond has sort of a yogurty vanilla-esque taste, but is very good, and whey free! We continue to buy these bars through Amazon prime out of convenience, though I have found them occasionally on sale for slightly less through local retailers. ... show more

Love this flavor so much. It's mildly sweet and very flavorful. There isn't a lot of good options for non-diary protein snacks and this is such a life-saver.

    • Dull flavor choice
I really like this brand, but this particular flavor is my least favorite. Still good because of the crunchy texture and how it keeps me full for hours, but I don’t like the vanilla flavor and I don’t taste almond at all.

To the review about being expired, I received a box with the same date - the 17th of December, 2025 hasn't happened yet lol, that's in 7 months. Although I did do a double take since I opened it first thing in the morning.
