This Thermoplastic Polyurethane repair tape sold by Weishuo provides an easy and convenient way to repair holes in vinyl fabric including inflatables. I have tried other patch kits in the past including H-66 which is a dedicated vinyl glue but requires you to have patching material on hand. This repair tape has a paper backing and can be cut to size from the 7ft x 3.15" (80mm) roll and should be enough to cover most tears or holes. I tried this out on an old River Rat inflatable tube and it provided a good solid repair patch. It's very important to clean the area being patched which can be done with isopropyl alcohol or soapy water. I round off the corners of the patches with scissors to avoid any edges that could catch or start to peel off. As this tape is very sticky, I found it best to leave part of the backing paper attached during application to help locate the patch over the center of the repair area and then start pressing the patch from that point outwards to help eliminate bubbles getting trapped under the tape. It's hard to completely avoid bubbles with this tape and it may also catch some grease from your finger tips if you touch the sticky surface of the tape during application. Overall, as long as you handle the repair carefully, it should provide good results. Time will tell if this tape holds up on our inflatable but it's also worth noting that you'll need to wait the recommended 12 hours before re-inflating which is a little longer than the glue and other patches that I've used. Also, this tape will probably not work great if you have a hole or tear close to a seam or where the surface is uneven. For the current price of $13.99, it is a convenient option and doesn't require any extra glue so I'll give this 4 stars.

For repairing inflatables, you should really rasp the surface first, then have a roller tool to make sure the patch is on tight and get the bubbles out. This doesn't come with any of that, it's just a roll of tape. I suppose they just want you to use a larger piece of tape in lieu of doing it properly. Overall though it works fine for our pool inflatable toys. I do question, however, whether it will work on heavier items, like my inflatable paddle board, or a bike inner tube. It seems thinner than patches I've used in the past for those applications.

I got the Weishuo TPU Tape Roll (7ft) to patch a few pool inflatables. This roll was a little more expensive than the kind I usually get, but I was able to repair two pool toys with the Weishuo roll so far. I haven't experienced any patch failures, despite the pool toys being actively used. Recommended.

I’ve been impressed with this patch repair tape so far. I picked it up with a non-traditional use in mind. I work with 6-foot latex balloons, and I wanted to be able to salvage balloons with a small hole in them. For extra support, I decided to put tape on the inside and outside of my balloon, but I don’t think that was necessary because both sides seemed to hold very well. I was able to inflate the balloon to nearly full and climb inside it without any issues. The tape adhered strongly and even with the stretch of the latex did not give out on me. Based on my experience so far, I would order this tape again.

This tape was wide enough to seal a seam on our pool float. We cut one piece a little longer then the length that needed to be repaired. We placed on half of the tape on one side then folded the tape and put it on the other side of the tape. We rubbed the tape flat just to make sure that it was sealed well. The glue was very sticky and it stayed in place after attaching it. Later that day we inflated the pool float and it held air fine with no leaks. Next we gave it the water test and it passed even with the kids playing and climbing on it. I've used other patches in the past that didn't hold for very long. Thus one has been used daily for over a week now and it is still holding air. I'm very happy with this repair tape for inflatables.
