It is really heavy and sturdy. I have it in my guest room and my parents stayed for the holidays - I slept in the guest room and it was really comfortable - I didn't think it would be without a box spring, but it was perfect. Couldn't even tell there was no box spring. It is pretty high up - I would probably have purchased the one that's 2" shorter if I'd measured it all out beforehand.

There are a few issues. Once you get the bed set up, it wobble, does not seam very sturdy. The screws they give you for the corners do not screw flush. So the bed squeaks. I had to go to Home Depot to get screws so that i could tighten the corners. On the upside the bed frame is high enough to store 27 gallon storage tubs.

I love this bed frame. It was super easy to assemble. Everything fits together great. It made from sturdy, strong, and durable materials. My favorite part though is the height, which provides tons of under the bed storage for luggage, extra linens, Christmas presents, etc. It holds out Big Fig mattress with no issues what so ever.

Our old frame was just a standard frame with box springs. Given it had minimal supports the mattress tended to sag in the middle causing back issues. I decided it was time to try something different and decided to get this as it appeared well built. Came well packaged with all of the required parts. Fairly easy to install and everything lined up. The only issue I had was that I planned to attach our headboard and footboard using the slots in the end legs but this frame was a little narrow for that. However, I was able to attach an overlap board to our headboard and footboard legs so I could install them. It would also be fairly easy to get some metal brackets to do the same. The headboard and footboard are now firmly attached and do not rock or move at all like they used to with the standard frame. Given all the frame support and cross slats the mattress now lies perfectly flat and is well supported. This has greatly reduced my back issues. I would definitely recommend to others looking for a sturdy bed frame.
