Hanging pendant lights in my kitchen is something I've wanted to do for almost five years now. The one thing that stopped me was the lack of any available wiring and there was no way I was going up in that attic and attempt it. So I hired my electrician friend to wire up 3 ceiling boxes and add a wall switch with a dimmer. Now I could finally proceed. The price of this three pack of fixtures is remarkable when you consider how nice they are. Installation was easy and thankfully adjusting the length was a simple procedure. The ceiling in my kitchen is vaulted so I was afraid the process of having these lights hang at precisely the same level would be daunting. Nope! It was ridiculously easy! I have mine hanging about six feet off the floor over the elevated counter top. I'm using the larger diameter LED clear Edison style 40 watt equivalent bulbs and running it off a dimmer. These look very warm and retro and cast the perfect light pattern downward and through the three upper openings without glare. Using smaller sized bulbs allows too much light to shoot through the upper openings. Not a good look. The inside of each fixture is painted white which not only looks good but acts as a light defuser. The outside is a matte black with dark antique bronze paint at the top. The bronze stands out just enough to add a dimension of elegant contrast. The wire that suspends these lights is minimalist and doesn't draw attention like a rod or a chain would and completes the retro/industrial look. I'm really glad I went forward with this project. I can't get over the difference this has made in our kitchen. Not just the greatly improved task lighting, but also the overall upgrade in elegance and warmth these fixtures have provided. This industrial / farmhouse light has some elegance to it. It provides excellent downward light, but the open neck also provides a soft glow on the ceiling. Purchased the set of 3 for the dining room (photo with the unfinished ceiling in our remodel), and loved them so much I got another single one for over the kitchen sink remodel and put it on a dimmer. Only suggestion is because the inside of the dome is white, do not use daylight light bulbs unless you want things looking pasty white. I then went out and got soft white bulbs which provide a beautiful interior room light. ... show more

These 3 pendant lights are part of a miracle transformation in our kitchen / dining lighting. Keys to our happy results: 1) Replaced three completely different fixtures with this one design, all within 6 feet or so from each other. 2) Experimented with 60, 75, and 100 watt LED equivalent bulbs to get the balance just right. 3) Initially looped the cords [2 twist ties per cord worked] rather than cut them shorter, before deciding on final installed height. 4) We used 2700k soft white led bulbs, which really works well with the glossy white inside paint of the fixtures. 5) We chose CREE bulbs for two reasons - High CRI 90+ and the long solid white "neck" of the bulbs. 6) The long "neck" of the bulbs tamps down the otherwise too bright light that would come out of the upper openings in the canopy. 7) We placed the second fixture prox 4 to 6 inches higher than the first. Third fixture another 4 to 6 inches higher than the second. (Ours are hanging about 6 feet apart). 8) We put a 100 watt equivalent LED bulb in our old Broan stove vent hood. 9) We put three 60 watt equivalent LEDs in the pendants over our kitchen sink. ...     • What's up with this light constantly flickering? Not happy at all!

The media could not be loaded. I don't know if you can see it in this video, but this light that a professional electrician installed between 3-4 weeks ago constantly keeps flickering which creates a strobe light effect that is super annoying. I've changed the bulbs to 3 different kind thinking maybe that would help it & made sure they were suitable for a dimmer light switch, too. So far nothing has helped, so I cringe every time I have to turn it on. It's obvious that this light must be replaced (more $$ spent).. It's a beautiful light, but it just needs to stay lit without flickering. I plan on contacting the company to give them this feedback, but seriously I'm not going to pay the electrician to come back just to take this one down until I have another one to replace it, plus other electrical needs around the house because he charges by the hour. Also for people who need more light to see, this 1 will not suffice. Even with the cut outs where the bulb shows thru, the lighting is still fairly dim (good ambience if you like dim places). ... show more

Well made, elegant...perfect addition to my kitchen. I bought 3 and they hang over my new large island. They are substantial enough to add a lot of light without being too obtrusive. Classic! They weren't expensive-didn't know the quality -but they are very designed and are a great buy.

I bought 3 for my kitchen. They are cool looking and just what I was looking for. The little cut outs above the shade add for an interesting detail. One is hung on the sloped ceiling over the sink-no problems. The other 2 are over the bar area with the extra cord tucked away in the pipe over the beam. My electrician said all the parts were there and they were easy to install. Thanks! ... show more
