  • Hands-Down Fun: A 5-Star Review of Operation!
Operation has been a staple in my family for generations, and the latest version is just as much of a blast as ever. It's a classic for a reason, and after countless hours of play (and buzzer-inducing fumbles!), I'm here to give it a resounding 5 stars. What's Not to Love? Simple, yet Addictive Gameplay: The premise is easy to grasp: remove body parts without touching the edges. But mastering it? That's another story. The delicate tweezers and sensitive buzzer keep you on the edge of your seat, making each successful extraction a mini-triumph. Laughs Guaranteed: Whether it's your own clumsy fingers setting off the buzzer or someone's dramatic groan after a near-miss, Operation is a guaranteed laugh riot. It's the perfect game for bringing families and friends together for some lighthearted, competitive fun. Ages Well, Plays Well: This game is timeless! Kids as young as five can enjoy the silly premise and basic mechanics, while older players can appreciate the challenge and precision required. Operation grows with you, providing years of entertainment. Quick Rounds, Easy Setup: A single game of Operation rarely takes more than 10-15 minutes, making it perfect for those short attention spans or when you're just looking for a quick burst of fun. Cleanup is a breeze too, just toss the board back in the box and you're done. Sure, there might be a few minor nitpicks: the plastic body parts can occasionally get stuck, and the batteries do drain somewhat quickly. But in the grand scheme of things, these are barely blips on the radar. Overall: Operation is a classic game that never gets old. It's easy to learn, tons of fun, and provides endless laughs for players of all ages. If you're looking for a game that's guaranteed to bring families and friends together, look no further. Operation is a 5-star winner in my book! Pro Tip: For an extra twist, try playing with your non-dominant hand. Trust me, it's even more hilarious (and frustrating!) So grab your tweezers, steel your nerves, and get ready for some good old-fashioned fun with Operation! You won't regret it. ... show more

  • Call the Doctor
Loved this game as a kid and was so excited to be able to purchase this for my son to have some of the same fun memories that I had. The game is pretty much already set up and ready to use just drop the items in the compartments and your good to go. Easy to store. Was delivered quickly and for a reasonable price. ... show more

  • Classic game
Great game for older kids, was too hard for a 10 yr old (she got frustrated)

  • Very fun!
This is such a fun game and it’s just as I remember from when I was a child. My 3 year old loves to play with us! But if your child puts things in their mouth I definitely wouldn’t recommend buying it just yet because the pieces are small and easy to lose. It’s an easy game, but requires concentration and patience. Not too loud, and the quality is quite nice. I think it’s a great price, this game is so much fun! ... show more

  • Great game that brings back fun memories from 50 years ago
I love the fact that they did not change the basic game. Still looks like it did 50 years ago. So much fun to play with the kids and grandkids of all ages.

  • Classic board game!
Classic board game that can entertain as few as 1 child! I only wish that it wasn't made so cheaply these days. I remember the one that I had as a child was much sturdier and the packaging was made well...not cheapy like they look and feel now.

  • This is absolutely not appropriate for cadaver training.
I bought this for my son who wants to be a Doctor one day. I was thinking he could practice on this cadaver before working with a real one. He spent hours trying to get the little pieces out without touching any side wall. I was kind of frustrated the “shock” from his extraction tool touching the sides was not a shock at all but a mild vibration suitable for a 2 year old. They could have made it more effective had they made the vibration strong enough for a 4 year old since the parts are so small anyone under 3 should not practice with it as is. Anyway, I digressed... My son was able to extract all the items from this practice cadaver after a few days of practice. It took him a while to get good and he got frustrated at times. Luckily this practice machine is sturdily built and could take his abusive beatings whenever he failed. The up shot of his frustration is the amount of money he earns for extracting each item is substantial. Each extraction has an earnings number printed on a card if they do a successful extraction (a pulled muscle is worth $200 for instance). We calculated that he can pull everything out in 30 minutes and make $5200! That’s a whopping $10,400 an hour or $21,632,000 a year!!!! So he was able to do all this and I thought, “he’s ready! All he needs to do it take this to the medical board of an Ivy League University, show them his skills, and he will be accepted into their medical program, on his way to making millions!” The medical board of the university we went to was less than impressed and laughed us out of their building. It was devastating. I told my son that maybe his aspirations were a little high for being 5 years old and kindergarten might find his talents more useful. In the end, this is a great device even though it may not be recognized by prestigious organizations as giving the user adequate experience for the medical field. ... show more
