  • Great Little Flanger
Color: Classic Flanger
It's really good & quite versatile. It's reminiscent of my old Boss BF-2 flanger (circuit wise it's an old ibanez fl-9), I can nail all its sounds. Will do the cure thing, the cult thing, the jet plane thing, the steel drum thing, hollow tunnel thing, etc. It will self oscillate with the feedback knob above 3:00. It's a little noisy (can hear the whooshing sound through the amp) with the delay knob at 9:00 or below, but you won't notice it while playing. If you want to give flanger a try for $18, its a no-brainer. ... show more

  • Reasonable starter pedals
Color: US Dream
I’m an intermediate bedroom guitarist and these are some of the cheapest pedals I have. I’ve tried the high gain distortion, us dream and pocket metal. They are all varying degrees of distortion pedals, of the three us dream is my favorite, the more mild distortion flavors of the bunch, whereas the high gain and pocket metal are higher gain with a “tinty” type sound, older school metal sound. The aklot I really enjoy is the ultimate drive which apparently is supposed to be similar to an ocd overdrive. I love this as a clean boost to brighten up the neck pickup for cleans- it also boosts well with a tubescreamer style pedal. For a new guitarist who is learning to use effects or someone who would like to try a few clones of more expensive pedals the aklots are a nice cheap option. Not the best quality, all of the pedals I received were noisy, most of the noise went away after using an isolated power supply though. For under $30 bucks each you could buy the whole line for a few hundred bucks, or the cost of 2-3 name brand pedals. If you were thinking of buying all of them, I would recommend saving up for a pod go instead :). ... show more

  • It isn't too bad at all.
Color: US Dream
You know, it really isn't bad. I'm not a huge fan of overdrive or distortion pedals even though I have had far too many to count. Even built many of them myself, including HV tube pedals. This thing isn't really bad at all. Acceptable level of noise, decent bite, and can be dialed in for a decent amount of sounds. I was looking for something super cheap to use with an old Harmony tube practice amp and get me by until I get my music room built. This does the job very well. Would I use it for gigs? Probably not, depending on what the gig is. But I believe that all tools have their place, and this is a tool that has a place. ... show more

  • Whaddya know, it tremolos..
Color: Tremolo
Level response is not the best (had to dime mine to get an acceptable signal) and I can't really vouch for the sturdiness as I have yet to gig it. But really, at that price point if it breaks just buy a new one. Well worth it. Plus these things are tiny so you can get probably twice as many effects crammed onto a pedal board than you would normally. I'll be checking out more of their boxes. ... show more

  • Reliable little flanger at a great price
Color: Classic Flanger
I wanted a decent flanger to pair with my Phase 90 without spending a lot and this thing delivered. It has a wide range of tones and it took me a while to dial in something i liked, but once I did, I was able to nail the classic "house burning down" tone. So far only issues (and they aren't big issues at all) is that the little knobs do seem to be the most fragile part of this thing, which is otherwise built pretty solid. Also, the true bypass switch makes a very pronounced "pop" when I turn it on. Not a huge problem though, as several of my true bypass pedals make some sort of click or pop when engaged and it's not even noticeable when you're in the middle of playing. Overall, it's a reliable little flange that delivers that "classic" tone and it pairs really well with my dirt pedals without coloring the sound too much. ... show more

  • Get a center negative 9V DC adaptor
Color: Tremolo
You'll need to go to a guitar store and get a center negative 9V DC adaptor to power this AKLOT tremlo. Typical household 9V DC adaptors are center positive and wont work with most guitar pedals. It's not the pedal that doesn't work, it the 9V adaptor more than likely.

  • Great little tremelo
Color: Tremolo
I wasn't expecting much from a $17 pedal, but I was pleasantly surprised. This is a sweet little pedal.

  • The noisiest pedal you’ll own
Color: High Gain Distortion
I didn’t expect much for this price and I got a bit less. None of the levels can go above 50% or this pedal turns to solid noise. I like the sound though and I’ll use it which is why I gave it 3 stars but there’s very little versatility for the noise.
