Edit: while definitely an upgrade over the original mattress, we slept on it two nights before making an emergency trip to a “local” Walmart 90 minutes from our campsite to buy a 4” mattress topper. I found the bed too hot and my partner thought it was too firm. The cooling gel/foam topper solved both problems. Would still buy this mattress but get a topper right away. Our toy hauler came with a 6” queen mattress that was as comfy as a concrete block. We wanted to upgrade and opted for a short queen sized mattress so we could walk around the bed easier. The price (under $200) was great! On arrival, we unrolled it in the bed platform and it took shape almost immediately. It fit perfectly! It’s a bit firm for our liking, but compared to the old mattress, it’s a huge improvement! No more literal bruises on my hips! The grippy bottom holds the mattress in place, the length is still long enough my feet don’t hang off (5’9”), and I don’t feel my partner toss and turn all night (just a tiny bit!) while the support is firmer than we like, it still suits our needs better than the original! Why did you pick this product vs others?: So we bought this eight (8) years ago (so who knows if it is even made the same way now). It was a pretty big risk back then. What if I didn't like it? How would I send it back? But it has been absolutely fantastic. My wife STILL gets in bed and says "I love this bed" and that's not something she normally does with any product. It is really great and really comfortable. We've bought a few since, a 12" Queen, a 10" full of this brand, and maybe two other brands, and I think they are decent, but none ever seemed to match this (at least one we didn't really use ourselves). The twelve inch queen of the same brand was pretty darn firm, even though they all said medium firm. Not terrible, but not the same. This was the first and the best. ... show more

Awesome, we love it!!! We needed a new mattress and had a super tight budget. And thus began the mattress in a box search.....after reading loads if reviews we decided to give this one a go and we are NOT disappointed. Obviously everyone is different but my hubby and I are both comfortable and sleeping better on this mattress than we have been or slept in a loooonnng time. It's not too soft so you don't sink way in but it's not rock hard either. We let the mattress hang out in the box for a couple days since it was cold outside when it was delivered. Once we opened the box the mattress plumped right up to it's full height with no weird un-plumped spots and no weird smells. Been using the mattress just over 3 months at the time of this review. We would highly recommend this if you're on a tight budget and still desire a super comfy mattress! ... show more

    • Firm supportive memory foam mattress

This is the second memory foam mattress I've purchased. I loved my first memory foam mattress (different brand), but I was forced to leave it behind when I moved 1800 miles away. I was using a hybrid memory foam mattress after the move, but I suddenly began waking up with back pain & knew I wanted to get another full memory foam mattress. I couldn't find the same memory foam mattress I previously purchased, so I took a chance on this one. I allowed this mattress to expand for about 48 hours to reach it's full size. Thankfully there was no harsh chemical smell after opening. The first thing I noticed is this memory foam mattress is much firmer than my first one, and I was a little worried I wouldn't like it. However, after sleeping on this mattress for a few weeks now, I am happy to say that I stopped waking up with back pain. I don't find this mattress quite as comfortable as my previous mattress due to how firm this one is, but it doesn't seem to interfere with my ability to sleep. I also noticed that I do sleep slightly warmer on this mattress, so I wouldn't recommend it to people who tend to be hot sleepers. The biggest plus is that I no longer wake up with back pain, so this mattress must be very supportive. It would be a huge pain to return a mattress like this, so I am going to keep it. Because of how firm it is, I will probably try a different brand memory foam mattress the next time I need one, unless I find a mattress topper that helps to make this one slightly softer. ... show more
