For years we had been sleeping on an old inner spring mattress with an inexpensive 4" foam topper. It was VERY SOFT, so much so that getting out of bed was sometimes an issue. Plus I often woke up with shoulder or neck pain. FYI, I'm a side sleeper. And lately, my sleeping's just been lousy. I expect Covid-related anxiety is party to blame. Regardless I decided I wanted a new mattress. I decided on a bed in a box. I got one for both of my kids over the years and they seemed happy. Plus, there are very well reviewed products out there for way less than traditional beds. Lastly, return policies often seemed too good to be true (see more on this below). After spend days reading hundreds of reviews and watching videos, I opted for a Tuft & Needle Mint. It cost about $1K. Easy ordering, arrived promptly, set up easily, and looked great. It was rated "firm." Well, my wife HATED it. Truth be told, she didn't give it a fair try. She kind of said she wouldn't like it before it arrived, said she didn't like it after night 1, and after night 2 said she was up all night with back pain. FWIW, this mattress should have relieved her back pain, not added to it, based on firmness and the fact that she's a back sleeper. Didn't matter. Her mind was made up. It had to go. So I called T&N on day three and they were FANTASTIC. Refunded my purchase price IMMEDIATELY and said I should give it to a local charity or, failing that, give it to a friend, family member, or neighbor in need. The return policy that I thought "too good to be true" turned out to be 100% true. Good on them! I gave it to a family in a neighboring town that lost all of their possessions to a house fire. I ordered the 2.0 via Amazon because it was the more "plush" of the options and because of the literally thousands of positive reviews. Oh, the fact that the price was less than half of the T&N didn't hurt. It arrived in about 8-9 days (my only complaint). Very large box that I once again had to navigate to the second floor. Popped it open and enjoyed watching the inflating process (again). After figuring out which side was front and back we placed it in place and let it "breath" for a couple of hours. With chemical smell to keep me off it, I put a cover and sheet on it and slept on it last night. It's definitely on the plush side. I wouldn't want it any softer. But I actually found it more comfy than the 2x more expensive mattress that preceded it. "They" say soft is good for side and stomach sleepers (which I am) and they appeared correct. I only had one night on it but I'm sure it'll be fine for me. My wife joins me on it tonight and we'll have to see her reaction. Should she not like it I'll just get her a 2" topper for her side to make it softer. You can't see the actual mattress so I can't comment on its looks or fit and finish. The cover isn't at taught as the T&N's cover and the materials not as rich feeling, but it doesn't feel cheap. As a bonus, it come with two "bonus" memory foam pillows and though it did smell a little when I woke up my head was on one of them and not one of my "old" pillows. I can't speak to its return policy and hope I don't have to. But I am comfortable saying (pun intended) that this is a nice, inexpensive option for someone who likes a softer mattress.

I am so happy with this mattress. I bought it for a guest room makeover. I wanted a mattress that was soft but supportive. I read the reviews and most were very positive so I went for it. I am so happy with my purchase. It was almost fully expanded the minute I opened the packaging. It was fully expanded in a little more than an hour. I was a little concerned about the pillows that came with it as a bonus because they stayed flat for quite some time, but once they fully expanded, they were great!! I read reviews about the chemical smell and off gassing. I actually laughed a little at the people freaking out about the smell. I noticed some but very little odor and it completely went away within a day. If you are familiar with memory foam then you know there is often a funky smell that eventually dissipates. If you're not familiar with memory foam then guess what...there is often a funky smell that eventually dissipates. Calm down...it goes away! I put a mattress protector around the mattress and the pillows to keep them both in good condition and because you never know how the product was handled before it was packaged. I also added a quilted mattress cover for extra fluff. As I mentioned I purchased this mattress for a guest room but once the bed was made I couldn't resist crawling in to try it out. I didn't intend to but I fell asleep and had the best night sleep I've had in years. We purchased a very expensive mattress with a moveable base from a National retailer. It doesn't compare to this comfy little memory mattress. My husband thinks I've abandoned him because I have been sleeping in my comfy new guest room on my super comfy new mattress. Great mattress, great quality, great price!!

Love this mattress!!! Provides firmness, but is not hard. Mattress contours but without plushness providing comfort. Cool gel is amazing. No more hot, sleepless nights. Almost no motion transfer when partner gets in or out of bed. Highly recommend.

The box that the mattress came in was utterly destroyed thank God that it's wrapped in seven layers of plastic otherwise it would have looked like it got drugged down the highway with a logging chain. The or as flat as a $20 bill when they ship but they expand to the size of a beach ball. Not very comfortable for sleeping on I mean literally you're better off taking a basketball and putting it under your head because the angle of your neck is horrible. But I can that the mattress is very comfortable.

I bought this bed as an alternative to a more expensive option. I had been using a Tuft & Needle queen mattress that my sister had bought a while back and stored for some time and the bed frame I was using broke so I started to consider moving up to get a California King since I had a little extra cash to do so. I got the frame from a popular manufacturer so I decided to invest in a good king mattress and was going to go with the Tuft & Needle because it was what I had used before. The price, though, for 1250.00 (not including tax) was such a steep incline in the spending of funds available for me that I was really weighing every review, wondering if this was the best option. And then, I found Cool Gel! I found this option and somehow managed to snag it for 400.00 (plus some change) and it came with 2 pillows! I had thought I was getting a steal. Until it arrived at my home. The packaging was so lackluster. I first thought that I had gotten a used product because the packaging was so bad (fraying and loose around the edges) And then, I remembered, that each mattress comes pre-rolled, prepackaged so it would be insanely difficult to roll it back up once it has expanded. Once myself and a friend were able to put together the bed frame and then start to unroll the mattress, my heart sank. As you can see from the photo of the mattress itself, I was so concerned because for like 3 hours straight the bed was lopsided and parts of the fabric that stretched were loose, as if it didn't fill inwards. I had never really had a box mattress so wasn't too used to the process of letting it expand. And the pillows it came with might as well have been broken. The material inside was split in half so the pillow would sink as if it was cut in half. I was so concerned I even called the manufacturer of Cool Gel and the operator assured me it would fill out, just don't sit on it or touch it too much at all. The time frame is 72 hours to fill out completely. And, I decided to leave the bed, go to my sister's house and stay over for a little bit and return. I was gone for roughly 7-8 hours and immediately noticed a huge difference. The bed was practically filled out completely. Slowly rising like dough but in reality, filling out quite quickly. I put the bedding on after and decided to lay on it and it was very dreamy. At first, it is a little firm but if you give it a few days it will soften (just like some other reviews have mentioned) and this bed is worth the wait! It is cool, it conforms to your body when you rest on it, and I feel like it becomes more and more comfortable each night. The pillows are also working really well! They finally filled out and fit their cases snugly. In combination with the soft bedding I got in conjunction with this new bed and bed frame I feel like I got lucky. I would say don't pass up this bed. Wait for it to go down in price a little and then snag it. I honestly think it was a great investment, especially for the price I got it at!

This Mattress really sleeps good! We just love it. It has been about a month long deal to get to this point. So let me explain. We ordered this item on 4/14/26 mattress arrived on 4/16. We immediately opened the mattress let it roll out on our bed frame. After the mattress had expanded somewhat we noticed a large lump about the size of a man's fist in the side of the matterss. We immediately contacted the website on the instructions which was the factory to let them know of the issue. We also noticed other areas on that side that wasn't expanding properly. We got a reply next day giving us instructions of the next steps they wanted us do do including pictures. During this time we looped Amazon in to contact the seller also. Most of the remaining conversations was with the seller. They agreed that there was a problem from the factory and they would refund our money once they had proof that the mattress that was shipped was destroyed. I would have thought that the factory would like to pick up the mattress to determine what went wrong at the factory but they didn't want it. Since they wanted the mattress destroyed we deceided to sleep on it anyway till we could get it to the dump. It actually slept pretty good, the damaged side was my side so it felt like I was inching down hill during the night otherwise slept real good. We deceided to see if they would just replace the mattress since we did like the product. Seller agreed, I just had to destroy the mattress & send them proof. I sent that information on 5/2 and Seller immediately shipped a new mattress with an estimated delivery of 5/6, 5/6 went by no mattress. Told Amazon and the seller about the issue & I was unable to track the item once it got to the distribution warehouse. Went out on the truck for delivery but never showed up then the tracking disappeared. The seller even contacted the freight company trying to find it. It appears to be lost in transit even though it weighes 106 lbs and stands about 5 ft tall. With all the bad things that went wrong we were fit to be tied! But the seller jumped in and deceided to ship another matress for us while they delt with the freight company about the lost package. We praised them for their goodness and concerns for us not having a decent bed to sleep on. We had been sleeping on a blow up bed for about 2 weeks. They shipped the new bed on 5/10 & it arrived on 5/13 as promised. We were so thankfull!! We upacked the bed just as soon as it got here letting it expand in the middle of the livingroom floor. Once everything was looking good, We moved it into the bedroom just like a normal mattress to let the expansion process complete itself. Again we are so happy with the new mattress and want to sing praises for the Seller & everything they went thru to make us happy. Amazon also was ready to stand behind the product if they didn't. I would buy this product again & deal with this seller again. Although we were upset during the procsss we were nice to them in they and they were nice to us. We purchased the COOL GEL Chill Memory Foam 14-Inch King Mattress and initially found it to be moderately comfortable. The setup was easy and the mattress had a decent feel during the first few weeks. However, after about three months of normal use, the mattress developed a noticeable soft spot in the area where my husband sleeps. This was unexpected given the short amount of time we’ve had it and the fact that it is being used within the advertised weight capacity. The uneven support has become more noticeable over time and is affecting comfort and sleep quality. We gave it time to “break in,” but the issue has not improved. Unfortunately, we were just outside the 100-night trial window (by only a few days), so we were unable to return it, and customer service would not make an exception. For us, the mattress did not hold up as expected for long-term use. It may be fine for temporary or occasional use, but based on our experience, we would not purchase it again.

Very comfortable and honestly totally worth it! Finally slept so well in a long time. Comes with two standard memory foam pillows as well that are super comfy as well. The only thing that was a little weird was there was a lot of lint, piece of hair that was wrapped inside the mattress. The vacuum cleaned it right up but was just little questionable. Doesn’t look like bugs or anything like that though.
