I’ve had this over a year still going strong in my g8. I have it hooked up to a 12” dd audio 600. I’ve went on many hours long roads trips bumping the whole time and never had a problem got into protection or anything like that it’s a solid amp as long as electrical is good

Wow. American Bass/VFL this amp is well below your 4500 max watts. I knew better when I ordered it. But I thought I'd atleast try it. It might be 1500 on a good day with 14.4. Why lie? Why lie 3000 watts of lies? The Hybrid 150 sounds great. This amp is garbage.

Powerful clean bass . Clip light works well and comes on before i even detect distortion with my ears. Makes tuning my system very easy. For the price of 185 its worth it. I wouldn't pay much more.

I purchased this for my husband. After researching, I found out it only puts out the peak wattage of 4500, which is 2250rms at 0.5 ohm impedance. The max rms wattage you'll see is 1600-1800 @ 1 ohm. He's using it to power a pair of American Bass XFL 1244s and is planning to strap it with a second ST4500.1 to double the power ... show more

    • Mistake in my favor
I received the wrong amplifier, I was looking for the 4500.1 but I got the 150×4, but it turned out to be what I needed for my mids and highs. The amplifier sounds great and it really cleaned up the sound of my music. Big mistake that worked out in my favor, I am a sound quality guy I have been installing for 30+ years and I really like the way this amplifier sounds compared to the JL Audio I had on it before. I would have given it more stars but remember I still don't get the right amplifier ... show more
