This watch is absolutely GREAT! After reading the reviews and researching for months on best possible options to get watches for my two children (8 and 10) who I wanted to be able to call and not have a phone with it, I landed on giving this a try even though, I was a bit hesitant. I just wanted a good way to reach them when they are outdoors on our large farm, to track, and send quick messages, and have more peace of mind as they are doing more activities. This checks all of the boxes for me and is really sleek looking. I didn't want to get a watch for either of them that looked childish or cheap, I wanted something other than pink for my daughter and I wanted quality in details and an app to reach with my phone for the watches. This watch seriously would remind me of an adult watch in appearance. The face of it may be a bit more chunky, but it is bolstering a large watch face and come on....it is 30 bucks! The reviews on here were not real good for the most part, but I thought, I would take my chances after all of the research for such a low cost on this specific kind of watch and the monthly fee seemed very reasonable. Let me say, YOU HAVE TO research how to set things up on the app (but it isn't hard to use AI on google to ask the questions and set it up specifically. IT TAKES TIME, but if you want to do it right, anything does. Do not rely on the booklet directions that come with the watch for anything much after the first prompt to activate your SIM card first and then to shut the watch off completely, then to register and create a log in for the app on your phone. Once you do that, its not hard to navigate, but as it sets up, it continues to add more things to the menu and you need to go into places specific to set up time zone and all the details. A person has to take the time to sit down and to ask the right questions and set it up instead of just let your kid run off with it expecting to know what to do. Everything has spots to turn or turn off on the app and setting areas of the watch to adjust things as needed as well including taking military time off and adjusting it in the settings. If you don't know what a specific word means - USE AI Mode on Google to get directions specific to the cjc kids smart watch, it will tell you. BUT, when you do get it all set up, the features are amazing. Here is what I love about this watch: the color especially the green one, the silicone watch looks sleek and although some said this watch is "clunky" - my kids wear this just fine and love it. They love the way it looks, the bigger screen, how bright it is, the torch, how it is set up (like any google/android) type appearances, they didn't complain about the weight or feel of the watch, it has a screen protector already on it, and it comes with a second watch band option or with the included lanyard accessories. The monthly fee is seriously good with the package options of being $5 at minimum for so many text and call minutes or $9 or $11 at unlimited on both. Approximately $55 for a 6 month package for all unlimited and if you pay for 6 month or 12 month, they take a percentage off. You can cancel at anytime also or pay monthly. For $11 a month...that to me, having flexibility in contacting one another and knowing the safety of my child is great! Features include also being able to hear your child in their surroundings when you are not with them to check in on them, geo fencing, bluetooth, wifi capable, limited games which is fine as they have other options for playing games, you can add mp3 downloaded songs, setting school time, tracks steps and sleep. The SOS feature will be great! Let me just imagine even if my kid falls and breaks an arm outdoors and I can't hear him screaming my name as we live on a farm, he can push and hold it to alert me instead and I would even know right where he is located. So, even when they are home and need the SOS, it would be very useful. The wallpaper options on the watch are awesome and have moving backgrounds even! My kids were astounded with how many options for wallpapers and how clear the images look on this watch when taking selfies. So worth the price for this watch! The bad reviews in my opinion are those in which people didn't ask the right questions to know how to set things up in the app. You can turn off all calls, text messages, etc that come into the phone if they are not on the contacts list that the parent puts on and enabled in the app. If the number is not included in the app, the call won't come through. You can set sleep mode as well so things are shut down between specific set night hours so the phone doesn't use up the charge and no calls/messages are going out or in, we havent had any spam calls and the functionality and appearence of this watch are seriously SUPER! TOP NOTCH on this one. Don't let the negative reviews scare you. I couldn't find a good dark green colored watch in any other kids watches and the bump to bump I thought would be fun.

I got 2 of these watches for my boys that are on the spectrum so I could have a little bit of piece of mind when sending my 3 year old (that tends to elope any chance he gets) to preschool. I activated it 2 weeks before I gave it to my 3 year old so I had time to get to know the ins and outs. I didn't know which plan to get so I called customer service, explained to the guy what exactly I was looking for out of it and asked which plan he would suggest to meet those needs. The response I got was "you should get the service that suits your needs"😐 I just picked the first one since they were extremely unhelpful. Once my son started wearing it, i notice that his gps lagged terrible, it wasnt updating his current location and when id try to restart his device, open the guardianship video, or even call his watch it would pop up a message saying "device is offline or may be powered off" or "in call" other times it would show his location was over 2000 miles away. Fast forward to today I've had it activated for 3 weeks, my son has ONLY worn it to preschool so 6 days (18 hours combined) and I noticed a 5 dollar charge not even a week after I gifted the watch to my son. I called customer service and they told me it was because my son exceeded his text limit..my son is 3..he does not text, I did not text him so i dont understand how he exceeded it or why i was blindly charged with no type of email or text warning/notice. Overall I am not pleased! I now have to disappoint my boys by taking back their birthday gift

It is a nice watch but there’s no option to change the time. It’s in military time and the time currently here is 18:14 but the watch reads 00:14. I cannot figure out how to change it to the current time and the instructions say to select the date and time from the settings menu but there is not a date and time option in the settings. I’d give it 5 stars if the time could be changed otherwise my daughter loves it.

I’m surprised by the positive reviews for the Kids Watch. I purchased two of these for my children. You will have to purchase plans before using the watches. Also, one SIM card provided a different, much cheaper, plan than the other. When I called about this I was told the SIM cards are prepackaged & there’s nothing to do about it unless you want to attempt to order a different SIM card through the website (I couldn’t find that option online). The watch still displayed no network coverage and could not proceed to add anything on the watch (this was after I purchased the plan and added my WiFi) . On the OTHER watch - the GPS was not 100% accurate. It placed the phone a few homes down (about 800 ft) from us. I was told to change the settings on the app but there is no setting to alter for it so that did not resolve the issue.

I wanted to like this watch for my daughter unfortunately nothing works except for calling and texting. Unable to save contacts, GPS does not work. Honestly none of the setting work and unable to do anything in the parental app. I paid for a 12 month service plan for the watch not to work. Do not recommend this device at all.
