These make peeling oranges extremely easy. Just cut through peel from top to bottom and rotate to cut top to bottom so there are 4 sections of peel that oranges are easily peeled and cleanly removes almost all of rind on orange.

I originally knew this product as a Tupperware item. Somebody gave me one decades ago, and I was knocked out by its effectiveness. I recently did an Amazon search and, while no longer a Tupperware product, it is the same design as the original. If you like oranges, but hate the difficult, juice-spilling work of peeling them, this is for you. The wedge located at the top of the peeler pierces the peel to the perfect depth (alliteration is fun). Pull down from the top of the orange to the bottom; repeat, and you create wedge shaped cuts of orange peel ( remember Mercator maps of the earth?) that come off easily, and without the usual juice bath that we all hate. I was first introduced to this type of orange peeler when I was kid living with my parents. So, it’s been around a long time and I’m still using it. I like how you can “cut” your orange peel and then peel it so much easier than if you just use your nails. On one side it looks like a hook which you use that side to “cut” the peel and on the flip end is a flat side which I use to help peel the white part of the peel off the orange. It’s made of hard plastic so it’s not flimsy. This peeler is a staple in my silverware drawer and the quality of the product is well worth the price. ... show more

Wouldn’t peel and orange or grapefruit without it. Amazing! Lived in citrus orchard in Rio Grande Valley of Texas where I learned of them years ago. So glad to find on amazon
