I have been looking for a decent field watch for several months now. Finally decided on this one and figured I would give it a try, it checks most of the boxes for me. When it arrived in the mail and I started wearing it, I found that I actually really really like this watch! There was another more expensive one that I kinda wanted a little more, but I'm actually really glad I went with this one. I got the black version which looks really sharp, apparently can only be bought on Amazon. The only things I would hesitantly complain about is that the watch band it comes with is pretty ugly, mostly just the metal eyelets, easily replaceable though. And the lume doesn't appear to be very strong. Pretty difficult to see in the dark, but I also haven't let it sit in direct sunlight much at all yet to charge the lume. I'm a mechanic and my wife and I own and operate a small ranch. So I really needed something tough, small (so it doesn't impede work), and easy to read, but also good looking enough I can wear on a date night with a quick clean up. I Just received this watch as a Christmas gift. I had been wearing a Traser H3 for the last 7 years, and it was time for a change. Everything about this watch looks good, although I am not impressed with the band. It is made of very thin material, with these big gromits surrounding each adjustment hole. The watch is thin and light, and should be a good everyday replacement for the H3. With the eco-drive power system, this watch will last a long time.     • Very small strap
The watch is nice, the citizen app is poor. I tired to register the watch on the app, unsuccessful. Had to go on pc. The strap is very short. I'm now spending another $20 buying a of brand watch band because I'm not a noodle wristed man. Maybe having man sized arms isn't normal anymore. Irritating.

I love field watches and this is no exception. The luminous dial is more than enough and glows blue, but has no backlight! I originally bought it for my dad for Father’s Day but it was too small for him. Fits me perfectly. The band is great, if you have smaller wrists. You can just get a 18mm nato style strap and be good to go, with a more classic look. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. After 1 day of use the date window stopped cycling. Amazon approved a replacement, will update of the next one works. For $200+ quartz watch I'd expect it to work fine. Not a fan of the clasp that comes with it, either. The large holes make difficult to find a good fit. I received a replacement watch and the SAME issue occurred. The dates worked for a couple days, and then it became stuck on spanish dates and will not cycle back to english dates. Do not waste your money on this crap. ... show more

This is a nice watch for the money when on sale. I'm not experiencing any of the criticisms stated from other reviewers although it runs about a second fast per week. Can't really comment on the mineral glass crystal though as i haven't had it long enough, but I think with reasonable care, it should be ok. Time will tell. Since an instruction manual isn't included, I would suggest to download it on Amazon from the product description and READ it. Setting the day/date isn't any more difficult than any other watch with this feature, IMO. It's common to have two languages on the day. Just set it for your language, it changes in the middle of the night so you will see the other language temporarily. You don't need the app to register, do it online with Citizen. I didn't care for the strap, so I changed it out for a Marine Nationale style. ... show more
