  • wonderful watch
Had this for over a year now, it's accurate and comfortable, but I find that I do not use the date function because it is just too small for my 54 year old eyes unless I'm wearing readers. I've banged the hell out of it and it still looks good to me. I though it was a striking looking watch but only one person has ever commented in it. I would have loved it in black but that version was missing the numerals. I am very pleased with it and would buy it again if necessary. This is the second mose expensive watch I have ever bought at $163, the most expensive was another Citizen at $181... and really that is my ceiling on watches. ... show more

  • Casual watch
Highly recommend this watch. Casual look and sporty as well. Citizen brand is highly trusted. Plus the quality of the watch and the long lasting battery are phenomenal.

  • One of my favorite Citizen Watches
Love this watch. I have worn it swimming in the ocean and it's still looking great and keeping accurate time. Be careful getting sunblock on the band, it will bleach it a bit but it's rubber so I probably should have known better. Like all Citizens it comes with a limited 5 year warranty so I'm not worried. I have worn it in business meetings and it gets some looks. It's not super fancy or very expensive compared to other Citizen watches but it does look very sharp. Honestly I like it a lot. One of my favorites. ... show more

  • I like it but… had to get replacement
I really like the color, feel and size. For $130 I didn’t expect perfection. I bought one and had to return it. It would work than not work. I decided to replace it with another one because I really liked the style. This one is working but I am assuming it’s cheaply made. Hopefully it will last.

  • First Citizen
This is my first Citizen and the brand reputation true to form is present with this piece. Well finished, with just a bit of heft, beautiful blue in color. I’m already planning my second Citizen purchase. So far it keeps time very accurately, it’s easily readable in even low light, it is also large in size. I think it’s 45mm? It wears like a smaller watch though so don’t be afraid to wear it if you have smaller wrists. I’m over the moon for my purchase!! ... show more

  • Like this more than Apple Watch S6.
After several models of Apple Watch, this is such a great experience. I’ve owned 3 Apple Watches and became tired of the issues, charging, bright health lights, and many annoyances. Edit: actually sleeping so much better w/o the bright lights of Apple Watch waking me up all night. That’s out of the way. First moment putting on this beautiful and simple analog Citizen Watch, I knew it’s good. Clean and simple, solar charging and a gorgeous blue watch face. Fills the bill perfectly. I’m happy going back to basics - an attractive analog watch that does one thing and does it well - time. I don’t need a watch trying to be everything. Don’t need it to pay at the register, weather, email, texts and not turning on when I want and not when I don’t. Apple Watch is annoying and having to charge it every 2 days, no way. This absolutely stunningly simple Citizen watch is a watch. No charging puck, no software. Place it in a light source and charged. 10 years and it’ll still be working. I’ll be history but the watch will show it’s age but still ticking. Imagine, a guy coming from a “smartwatch” back to basics and be much happier with his simple analog watch. Citizen does it for me. Low profile, large watch face, beautiful simple design and it won’t wake me up at night with annoying lights. Love it. ... show more

  • Authentic or Knock-off
One of the reviews opined that the watch was a knock-off due to the case-back not having the Citizen logo. After nine days, the watch (set to WWVb) is about a second and a half fast. Extrapolating to 30 days the watch would be about 5 seconds fast. Not the best I have, but much better than the 11 seconds fast for my Luminox (Swiss Rhonda caliber). As I have the tools to change batteries in watches with screw on backs, I carefully removed the case back that is absent the Citizen logo. What I found was a quartz movement about 20 mm diameter, stamped with "Citizen Watch Co", "Japan", and "J810" (with a very lightly added "M" on the end). The battery was a Panasonic, made in Maylasia. There was a note on the inside of the case back reminding a viewer a rechargeable battery was required. My conclusion, based on this evidence, was that the watch had the genuine Citizen Eco Drive movement, and was cased in Maylasia somewhere. A China case would likely have a China-made battery. For what it's worth. As to the aesthetics of the watch, it is comfortable to wear, attractive, and weighs 2.7 ozs; which is a full ounce more that the Luminox referenced above (Carbonex case). At the price point, I conclude this solar powered watch is an excellent buy. I recommend it. ... show more
