The blue dial is definitely my fav. feature and I think the main highlight of this striking watch. In person, it often has a darker shade of blue similar to navy blue, as supposed to the light "baby blue" seen on some pictures. The deep shade of blue changes to a nice, reflective lighter blue depending on light angle. It's pretty cool. This looks best under low/indoor lighting. I love good-looking watches as much as the next person, but if the design can incorporate useful functions as well, it's a winner for me. And this watch does all of that. It has Day of the week, Date of the month, 24/hr, and different timezones calculations. And it's solar-powered, so no need to worry about battery changes every few years, which is a plus for an everyday watch. Build quality seems very nice to the touch. Bracelet is medium weight and solidity, not too noisy nor ultra quiet. The clasp has these beautiful brushed marking that look very classy (see pics). Overall, good watch for the price. Bought this to replace my former eco drive that lasted 12 years. These watches do wear out but at this price point - mid $300s and no winding or batteries I have no complaints ar all. Good looking, high quality product!

This watch shows what Citizen used to be. Beautiful, accurate and clean looking with attention to detail. The watch face is beautiful and the band is very good. The functionality as a watch only is also very, very good. It's functionality as a teller of international time is not that of the radio controlled watches but it still works just fine. It simply uses the old fashioned method of calculating international time that take a tiny bit of work and thought. Unfortunately, I ended up grudgingly returning this watch for the same reason I downgraded it from a 1/2 to 3/4's of a star. I couldn't see the sub-dials very well. Idk if it was the color combination or the size but I had to really stare to make them out. I could see the arrows/pointers just fine but not what they pointed to. I ended up memorizing the layout of the day of the week indicator so that was fine. I figured I'd eventually do the same with the other sub-dials but it was kind of defeating the point if I had to guess (sort of) what the sub-dials were saying. Anyway, I realized I wouldn't be wearing the watch every day so that even if I memorized the layout, I'd probably forget. And I have too many watches to hold onto something that isn't fully functional for me. So back it went. But jsuk, I still regret sending it back. If you're young and/or have good eyes that can make out small details, I whole-heartedly recommend this watch ... show more

My old Seiko died and I started looking for something new. I ended up buying a Seiko Coutura and this Calendrier. The date dial and the 24 hour dial are a little hard to read unless I have it under really good light. The rest of the watch face is very readable. The blue dial is beautiful and I love the moveable bezel to figure world time. The band is two-tone silver and very comfortable (my wrist is just over 7.5 inches). The weight is over 1.5 oz less than the Seiko- so a nice weight for daily wear. This is my first Citizen watch and I like the Eco-drive system. And there was a special sale that made it hard to resist. Very happy with this purchase! ... show more
