Yep - these are definitely locks alright! Being completely honest, we just started using these on the gates to our backyard - and they're important additions because we have a pool and would like to avoid anybody potentially stumbling in for whatever reason and falling in. I think time will tell as to whether or not they hold up to the weather. I'm interested to see how it works out because, as another person mentioned, they don't seem to be the same/similar to other locks that bill themselves as outdoor locks. There are multiple places where I'd think water or particles could get in. All said, they're easy to use and lock smoothly.

These locks ship in some very minimalistic packaging, the little cardboard boxes are easy to open and that may be appealing for customers who struggle with the hard plastic blister packaging. The locks seem to function as you would expect a lock. The band around them is plastic, rather than rubber as I was expecting. I'm not familiar with the brand, but they don't seem to use the materials or finishes I am accustomed to finding on a weather proof lock intended for outdoor use. I wouldn't hesitate to use these in humid environments, but I think I would also try to keep them out of the rain as they seem to have many avenues for water ingress. Personally I will only be using them for indoor use. My one regret is I didn't get the long shackle. The shackle on these seem a bit short.

The locks feel very solid and helps me to eliminate some of the many keys I have on my keychain. If you're like me, I don't like my keychain to be too full or heavy. Having a combination lock works for me. The only thing I don't like about these locks is that the latch moves too easily and makes it hard to put it through the whole in my 4 gates. I actually have to use an extra finger to hold the latch in place. Other than that. These locks are a win win for me....

Not pick decoder proof, but I couldn't use a normal bypass apart from shackle shimming. So, it will keep someone out of your stuff for about 3 min. If they decide to decode it there. However, if they use the shim then they will be in in about a min. Good weight and feels strong but not sure about weather resistance and rust.

The lock is sturdy, strong, and weatherproof. Changing the combination can be tricky. While changing the combo, I didn't get one of the numbers aligned correctly and it took almost an hour adjusting the numbers to get it open.

Pattern Name: 4 Pack Short Shackle
These locks are great for when you need to secure something in a jiffy. They are easy to recombinate. I have the original style lock these emulate, but there are vast differences. This one is lighter by about 30% - 50% than the name brand lock. The shackle is much thinner as well, and has a bit of play. It doesn't inspire a lot of confidence as it feels easy to break.
