    • Surprisingly good - within limits
2 year UPDATE: Have had and used this tent for two years in all sorts of weather except for ice- or snow-storm. Color me impressed! So far, the tent has not leaked regardless of how hard it rains (haven't waterproofed it but will do so this summer as a precaution), seams have held, poles seem strong even though it's been through a few rather windy trips. The *only* real "problem" was a couple weekends ago. Inside was comfy warm with just an appropriate weight sleeping bag, but outside the temps had dipped to freezing - and there was a moderate amount of condensation on the inner walls of the tent in the morning. Took next to no time once opened up to dry, but it was a bit surprising as it hadn't happened before even though I'd camped in similar circumstances. (It's the downside to the full rain canopy blocking nearly all airflow from the generously sized screens.) -------- Admittedly, I was hesitant to believe all the good reviews for such an inexpensive tent. But it's actually not terrible. Pros: - Ventilation without the rain fly is *excellent* - Very easy and quick to set up. - Decently constructed. Not the best, not the worst. - Comfortable size for one person and gear. Cons: - If you put on the rain flap, it blocks nearly all airflow. - The screen on the door itself is tiny. - Seams are rough, may fall apart quickly with regular use. - NOT a two-person tent if either one has any gear beyond a sleeping bag. There's only room for one with additional stuff. Would I recommend this tent? Yes, if you want an inexpensive tent for a solo weekend camping trip. Too small for two people unless you have somewhere else to put your clothes, gear, etc. ... show more

    • Very nice tent to go camping for the first time
My first camping experiment, this was my first tent, my first camping experiment, which went better than we expected. The tent was very lightweight and easy to assemble. It is super easy to set up and straightforward! I got it all put together in about 5 minutes on my own. It is also pretty easy to break down and put away after you're done using it. You can leave it in the car with minimum space. This was perfect for us because my wife and I had bought a lot of stuff with us on this trip. So there would have been extra space for you and your family to put other stuff in the car. The bottom is made of tarp material to avoid water inside the tent. So you don’t have to worry if the grass is wet or when it rains. That had helped my family a lot because when we were out camping it suddenly started raining at night but this tent had helped us not get wet. So this tent is waterproof. We also met up with my other friends and they were surprised that our tent was much better than theirs. And how our setup, materials, and size were also a lot better than there's that they wanted to buy one too. I highly recommend it! It is super light, the setup isn’t complicated as the other tents, the materials are great for camping, and the size is just perfect for taking on a camping trip with your family. ... show more

Nice, sturdy tent. We’ve only used it once and the weather was good so I cannot comment about it being waterproof. It does have a rainfly that goes over the tent opening and window. It was a little tricky setting it up but now that we know how to do it, it will take 1/2 the time. It had plenty of room for 4 kids ( 6-9). Nice pockets inside were kids could put their “stuff”. Hopefully the grandkids will be able to use in for a long time. ... show more

Love our families new Tent. I purchased it For my sons summer boy Scout camping trips. It’s amazingly Lightweight--I've had other tents of this similar design and this one is By far the lightest. That's important when you're hauling lots of things to the campsite. My favorite tent so far! Durable, totally waterproof material. I setup this tent by myself in just a matter of minutes. really simple and straight forward to setup and also take down. Even came with all the tools needed! The tent is very breathable and even designed to allow for additional ventilation. Fits 3 large air mattresses with space to spare definitely worth the price. I went on a 5 day, 4 night camping trip and I loved this tent. It fit a queen size air mattress and two people slept in comfortably and there was room left for bags and a cooler. During these five days, we encountered 48F temperature on one night, 78F on another and pouring rain on the last night. I tell you this, because I was able to experience the good and bad. It held great during the rain and wind, it was light and breezy during the warm night, but not insulated at all for the cold night. So prepare accordingly. I also did not place the rain fly correctly, might have been my fault it was so cold at night, but I swear it was coming from the bottom. On the other hand, the night it got warmer before the storm, it was breezy and cool! So perfect for Florida crazy weather. Not too sure about colder states. I gave a 5 star review because it was exactly what it said it was: light, water proof and easy to put together! Also, for the price, the quality is great!! ... show more

Got this as a birthday gift for my daughter. My hubs & I, two non-campers, were able to put this together easily! It’s pretty much everything you would want. When pegged down it seems like it would last in a storm. There are plenty of zips and airflow spaces, there’s even a place to run an electric line into the tent. The only con I can see is the zippers are not super reinforced, they’re just lightweight zippers and looks like they might be able to be broken easily if not used with care. But just take care when zipping and you should be fine! I do wish the ties on top or longer so that you can use better knots or even a bow to secure, but they’re very short. I would look to extending those somehow by sewing on extra length or something if I were to keep this tent myself. Fabric is good; It’s not necessarily the most sturdy of material, it’s pretty much just a medium weight nylon, but it seems sturdy enough. I would suggest an under pad for the bottom because it doesn’t seem very thick and you would want to use this great tent many times! ... show more
