I used this HouseABC chunky yarn for a small blanket project, and overall it’s pretty decent for the price. The biggest positive is how soft and fluffy it feels. It has that classic chenille texture, so it’s comfortable and looks really cozy once it’s worked up. It’s also beginner-friendly—the thickness makes it easy to handle and projects come together quickly. It’s basically made for hand knitting or big, simple projects like blankets and cushions. () On the downside, it’s not the highest quality yarn out there. Like a lot of chunky chenille yarns, it can shed a bit and doesn’t always feel perfectly consistent throughout. I also noticed it can be a little slippery when forming loops, which can make it slightly harder to control if you’re new. () Another thing to keep in mind is the yardage isn’t huge per skein, so you’ll likely need more than you think for bigger projects. It is not very thick and fluffy. I've used several different brands and this is the worst so far. The color is beautiful but it looks like old yarn that has gone through the washer and dryer many many times. and not very thick. Even when hand fluffing it prior to making the blanket. Edit - The yarn can be hand fluffed which really helps. It is just not as thick and fluffy as the other brands. ... show more
