They are easy to assemble if you have a metric allen socket & ratchet. Would take a long time with the allen wrench provided with the kit. Comfortable and noticed they were produced in Vietnam where I served many years ago. A nice product we'll enjoy for years!!

Just got around to opening the box. No instructions. Some of the bolts are loose in the box. Large chunks of wood have been chipped off. We'll see what they'll do to fix this. ---------- Answer: they're sending a new chair. Review changed from 1 to 5. Excellent and easy customer service.

    • No issues with new chairs, but issues with used chairs

The most recent purchase was a chair that stated “used”, but very good. There was one screw missing and the holes on the side that have wooden pegs that go in them once you have unfolded the chair, had the holes too large for the wooden pegs. Pegs would fall out. Note: the other three chairs I bought were new chairs and had no issues with them. My guess is that the used one I bought was a customer return, most likely because of the holes too large? I fixed the pegs so they would be secure, and I’m now content with the purchase. I gave 5 stars on the new ones I purchased, but 4 stars on the used chair. These are very nice chairs! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The chairs were easy to assemble but kind of funky until the finish aired out but they're comfortable and I like them. I probably should have folded them and stored / covered them but they've seen ice, snow and rain and are showing a bit of wear. No big deal but I'm thinking that they'd look nice with a coat of white paint and it should be any easy job while they're still smooth. ... show more

If I'd written a review of this in the first couple of months it would've been pretty positive: looked nice, not too hard to assemble. But man, do NOT leave this out over the winter, or even outdoors for any significant period of time. Half a season on the back porch and whatever was on the outside has been almost entirely stripped away or faded. Apparently it's just some cheap veneer. Very disappointing, very ugly, even if it still sits fine. Gonna have to decide whether to try to paint it or something now. ... show more

We use these chairs in our backyard almost every day since we recieved them over a month ago. They are very comfortable. In the past couple of weeks, I am hearing them creak at times. Perhaps that is part of break in. The wooden planks used in construction are not as thick and heavy duty as I would have liked them. If they last couple of seasons, I will be happy. ... show more
