If it doesn’t need to close, you can order two sizes down. I am short, so I had to cut a significant portion off the bottom, but I’m used to that. I was on the fence about ordering this denim trench coat, but as soon as it arrived, I fell in love with it. The denim is pretty heavy, and the coat is substantial. It looks like I could have spent several times more on it than I did. I ordered one size down and that was a very good call. I normally wear a large, and sometimes even extra large. I ordered medium and that was perfect. After washing, it fits perfectly. It seems like it shrunk a little when I washed and dried it, including an inch or two in length. I expect that with denim, and it washed nicely. I really like that this coat can be put in the dryer because it is very big and heavy to dry on the line. Note: this trench coat is long. I'm 5'5" and it is just a few inches shy of the floor on me.

The jacket trench coat was a much anticipated item, and when I received it - I love it. I am glad that I read the prior review because the fit tends to run large, but it is fashionable. I was not happy with the delivery. The item did not arrive in an Amazon bag or box. It was left in front of my door in a plastic zip lock bag in the pouring rain. The plastic had a small round hole, and the plastic zip lock bag was extremely wet. Luckily, when I removed the item from the bag - it was not wet. For presentation and delivery - I give "Amazon" a "zero" rating. This is the second time I received packaging from Amazon with no bag or box, and the item was just left in front of my door. Do better "Amazon"!

This jeans coat/duster is amazing. While it is looong (to my ankles+) it’s too perfect to complain. I intend to hem it, it’s not that far around it. I’m 5’3 and 155 and the L fits me perfect & I can button it completely but doubt I ever will. . The suggested size for me was XXL I’m certainly glad I didn’t take their suggestion. It would have fit 3 of me with room to spare. There is absolutely no smell about it whatsoever. If you want one, get it! Remember tho it fits a little big & it’s looong so take that into account. The length would be perfect for those 5’10 and over. Nothing more to say except it’s perfect! It’s amazing!

I am 5.4, 162 lbs, size large. I order size large but unfortunately I had to return it. It is pretty roomy but the arm holes and sleeves are not wide enough for my arms to fit comfortably since I would use it over a light long sleeve sweater and the fabric is not stretchy, maybe the problem is that my biceps are 14" wide. Also it was a little long for me.

The denim coat is thick, heavy, and perfect for a chilly fall night out. I ordered a medium and it was still very big on me. The plus side is that I can wear a pullover sweater or hoodie along with it and it wouldn’t feel too snug. The down side is that it looks baggy with a dress.

This is a medium. I’m 5’7” 135 lbs. very roomy. I normally wear a large, but the reviews said it ran large, and that is correct. I could have used a small. It was packaged well and ready to wear. Remember it runs large when you order. I know that I’m going to love this jacket.
