Soft and plush. It's not as thick as it looks in the photos, but still rather thick. The fit was perfect for my queen-size ZINUS 80"L x 60"W x 8"Th Cooling Gel Foam mattress. I found the mattress a bit firmer than I liked, and this topper helped with that somewhat. It seems well-made and is soft. Too soon to comment on durability. The deep pockets do hold it in place well. No corners coming loose during the night. It is rather cooling and breathable, but not exceptionally so.

I'm in my mid 60's and had been waking up nearly every night in pain. We have one of those air adjustable beds. I could soften it up but still no help. I was ready to start looking for a new bed when I saw this topper. I was somewhat skeprical but I was needing some good sleep and could get it right away so I thought I'd try it. I'm glad I did. I am sleeping much better and have not woken once from pain. It seems to be constructed very well to keep the material where it needs to be. We have run it through the washer and dryer, it is not heavy when wet like the down topper we had years ago, was easy to dry and held its form. Very happy with this purchase and would do it again.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: When choosing items I always read the reviews . I have a fairly firm mattress so I bought this mainly to try it before I bought another one for my dad who has spinal stenosis . The pad is perfect ( I use to wake up with lower back pain from the firmness ) the pad provides great support. I ve had it for two weeks and I just fluff it up and back on the bed . Sleep is awesome . Great for anyone who suffers from any back pain . I will update in a month.

We like this mattress topper because it has lots of separate boxes of poly-fill, which allows it to stay in place on the bed. The filling stays in each box, and doesn't gather into the corners or into the ends of the topper itself. It fits our 18 inch mattress, and still allows us to put on the fitted sheet, even though the topper is another 2 - 3 inches thicker (this was a relief, so I am glad we have 21 inch fitted sheets). Another excellent feature of this mattress topper is that if it goes flat, we just place it in the clothes dryer for about 15 minutes, and it's all fluffy again. I made the conscious decision not to get a cotton filled topper because those tend to flatten out sooner than polyester filled ones. The down side is the air flow. Cotton breathes; polyester does not breathe, so this causes our body heat to stay under us throughout the night. Even so, we still chose fluffiness and support to breathability. Our mattress is almost 8 years old, and is losing it's firmness. This mattress topper provides the support we need, so we can put off spending thousands of dollars for a new mattress a little longer. Also, since this topper is thick and soft, we can buy a firmer mattress and still feel like we are sleeping on a cloud. To compare, I went to a few brick and mortar stores, and did not see any mattress topper that was this big or thick at all. They were all thinner, yet about the same price, and also polyester filled (cotton fabric on top). So, all in all we are satisfied with this choice.
