Best work boots I’ve ever bought. I’ve been working in construction since 1980 and have bought many different brands. These are by far the best fitting boots for me. I measure a size 12.5 but depending on the shoe, I wear 12-12.5. I bought a size 12 and they fit great. These boots have a wider toe box than other boots I’ve bought which is exactly what I needed all these years. These are great for vegetated to rough graded areas and embankments. I don’t think I could roll an ankle if I wanted to in these boots. I clean and oil them at the beginning of winter and they hold up well. The sole wears out before the leather. Straight from the box…, perfect fit, more comfortable than slippers, excellent back support, i wear these all the time, good grip in the woods cutting logs, i used to have another brand i kept replacing, but these are the real deal. Very few makers left but these are the best loggers i have ever had

These loggers are the best i have ever worn. Generous toe box that does not pinch toes. 5th pair of these i have bought. I wear orthotics and have trouble finding shoes that fit comfortably. Been wearing these for years. Fit is always perfect! My foot is narrow and standard width is always perfect, even with orthotics. They are incredibly sturdy and i get almost 2 years out of them wearing them every day on rough construction sites. Highly recommended. Plus they are very handsome boots. These boots a comfortable enough to wear all day, the first day. Toe box is roomy, even with thick socks. They are a bit wider, than others wide boots. That was a selling point for me, and my wide feet. I upgraded insoles, though factories are better than most. Laces do look like they need be upgraded to Kevlar as other have said. High quality boot, too bad its not made in USA anymore. But what is? ... show more

Chippewa discontinued the model that I liked so after several days of indecisively thumbing through the options they have, in a last ditch attempt to find something I chose the 73101 figuring I'd settle and get used to them. I was excited when they arrived and then I opened the box and they were so ugly and totally not going to work for me. My wife and kids even gave them sideways stares. I slipped on one, once again in hopes I could just get used to them, but I never touched the laces, I just couldn't bear to look at them. All I want is an un-insulated logger (as tall an upper as I can get) with a safety toe in brown. These lace-to-toe boots are hideous, the nose is too dang broad (it'll never fit a stirrup). My boots have to be very versatile. My work has me hiking everywhere in all weather, running tractors, building, tree climbing, relocating rattlesnakes, and sitting around an office, then in my off time I'll ride horses, cut firewood, and hike some more. I rarely wear another shoe or boot because I lose versatility (my days are unpredictable). I could get a solid three years out of my Chippewas and for the price I felt I was getting a quality boot and good wear. I'll be trying a Carhartt logger now which is about $100 cheaper and I like the style less. Still waiting for those to arrive, fingers are crossed. ... show more

Best boot ever owed and I've been through a number of sets including most of your most popular brands. These are by far the best yet. On my 2nd pair now and plan to continue purchasing them. Very comfortable for those long days. I work in a shipyard environment and I'm on my feet for 12+ hours a day. With these boots my feet stay dry (with an additional application of some snow seal) all day. Tons of support and seems to feel fairly light for an 8" logger. Only issue i have found with them is the laces that are supplied with the boot. They don't seem to last more then a few weeks. With that said I always order a pair of 84" brown ironlace boot laces that have a life time warranty with them. Cant speak for all but my feet tend to run on the hot side so if u are thinking of the insulated version of these boots u may want to think twice because these boots keep my feet pretty warm for being non insulated. That is in temperatures lows as 15 degrees F. And i do work outside most of my day. Keep it up Chippewa! ... show more

Great boots . I bought them for my grandson and he was thrilled with them. Just what he had been wanting.Can’t believe that such an expensive boot came with such a cheap lace. Had to buy some leather laces shortly after getting the boots. Other than that there were no issues.
