The 5 ice packs come without water. You have to add 8 ounces of water using the included small collapsable silicone funnel. After adding the water, you insert one of the rubber type corks and then screw on the lid and shake and wait for 30 minutes for the water and material inside the packs to turn to gel. After that you place them in the freezer, and you have reuseable ice packs. After freezing the packs all of them had some slight bumps near the middle of the packs, not sure why and doesn't affect their performance but they are not as smooth sided/consistent thickness as I thought they would be but still a nice ice pack. I don't know how durable these will turn out to be yet. ... show more
