Product seems well made. Just installed today. Had to purchase 2 x 1/4 20 x 1 1/4 bolts for assembly that were missing from hardware bag. They were not included and didn’t feel like returning for less than a dollar in hardware. At least 1 other review mentioned this as well. Easy fix, just annoying.

Holds hand chalk well in order to play pool

When I first got the unit it was packaged very well. I have another brand and version of a cone chalk holder so I'll compare this one to that as well. This one came with some very nice bolts to hold the shelf onto the back board. This made a very strong connection and was better than the other one I have which just used a couple of wood screws. This one comes with a bracket that helps to support the weight of the cone chalk and I'm guessing will hold up better over time. Not sure how much this matters but the shelf on this unit is a bit longer than the other one I have, which might be easier for some to use, not a huge difference, maybe 1". A couple of other things that stood out to me. First, the notches on the sides of the self for leaning your pool cue against while you use the chalk, is a very thoughtful touch. I also really like how the 2 screws that are used to attach the unit to your wall are vertical, meaning you could screw this directly into a stud and it will be very secure. That's what really stands out to me on this holder versus the other one I have, this one looks like it was built for long term use and thought was really put into the design details. Only down sides for me are I would have preferred a mahogany finish over the black because it would match my table better, although I don't see fingerprints that easily on this finish versus my other unit, and the other unit I have, has a ring that you can attach a golf towel to, that could be used to help keep hands a bit cleaner, although not a huge deal at all. Overall, for a pretty simple product, this one really does stand out for me in terms of quality.
