Pretty cool latch, but the installation tool used to position the two pieces makes them too far apart. Using their tool on the first install caused the latch to fail about every six times. It worked fine with just the double sided tape holding everything , but the screws compressed the tape enough to cause the failure. The second install I brought the two pieces slightly closer and got much better results. The magnet is very strong which is great. There is just one of them so it makes it a bit more inconvenient when the latches are not all in the same room/area. Absolutely LOVE these cabinet locks for child-proofing. The fact that you can’t see them from the outside is a HUGE selling point. Plus they’re fairly inexpensive! Not only does it leave the look of your cabinets unaltered, it also makes it basically impossible for toddlers to open (as long as the magnet is kept out of sight and/or out of reach!). My 2yr old quickly figured out how these locks work, but since he can never get the magnet he has never been able to open a locked cabinet. These locks are easy to install. The adhesive works very well and can be difficult to remove right away, so try to be sure before sticking anything down. (A heat gun may make removal easier). There’s also additional adhesive included in the package if needed (at least in the 10 pack that I purchased after this one). Screws are also included for a more durable/permanent mounting solution. The magnets are also crazy good and can unlock about 2” away from the lock itself (through the cabinet door). The included adhesive “magnet mount” means you can store the magnet wherever it’s most convenient. I placed mine on the underneath of my upper cabinets in my kitchen where it isn’t visible but easily accessible. These locks can also work on drawers. This will largely depend on the drawer design/size and placement, so definitely think it through and make sure it’ll still be able to close before you install. (Only one drawer in my home won’t allow for a lock to be installed). It will drive you insane to keep certain cabinets locked 24/7, so you can simply flip the switch to keep the lock unlocked as needed. This makes it perfect for grandparents, or anyone who watches young children in their home, but doesn’t have young children living with them full time. Lock the cabinets when the children are there, leave them unlocked when they’re gone. Overall, I think these are one of the best child-proofing products out there. The design is top tier. I have had zero issues related to the product itself after several months of use (and only installed with adhesive). These have been the key to keeping me sane and my toddler safe. I got this set for our guest bathroom, and it's working well. It was easy to install and has kept our cabinets secure thus far. Our curious son has pulled on the doors without them opening. I love that the set comes with stickers to place on the cabinets so it's easy to find the place where you would need to put the key to unlock it. That was an excellent feature for our guest bathroom, so that guests won't need to fiddle with the key to find the right place. These are okay child locks. It's pretty easy to install them but they're hard to install in some cabinets where you can't line them up properly and you can't get at the cabinet to fix it. The stickiness isn't very sticky anymore once you rip off the lock to fix the position if you mess up. So there's pros and cons to this. If you get it right, the lock works great. It's easy to unlock and the kids can't get into the cabinets. If you mess up even once while putting the locks in, they won't work very well and aren't as strong. So I wish there was an easier way of putting these in without messing up. ... show more

These are okay and get the job done. It was a struggle to figure out how to install. It comes with a little installation piece however, I installed it easier without. You just have to make sure you understand which way the top part goes. I did better installing it without the installation piece and opening the lock to verify it’s in the best spot. You just have to install it and fix, if needed. I had to remove the lock a few times until I got it in the right spot. It seems to be okay and still sticky enough. It comes with screws if you need it to have a stronger hold. I didn’t want to put holes in my cabinets so we are starting with the adhesive. The magnetic lock key works well, even with a thicker, solid cabinet door! Not super easy to install but gets the job done! ... show more
