I managed to ruin 2 latches because I inadvertently placed them where 2 sections on my wood cabinet door met. I did not realize at the time that there must have been a metal brad joining the 2 sections. This caused the latch not to engage so it remained in the unlocked position. At first, I thought I had a defective latch. After realizing the problem, I corrected it by moving the latch over a bit. But, by then I ruined the stickers on 2 latches. ☹️

Fist of all it only came with one key. Second the adhesive doesn’t work for our 11 month old son. He rips the cabinets right open and it leaves a horrible mark of the inside. We followed the directions and waiting 12 hours without use to ensure the adhesive would be set. It still didn’t work. Just get the ones with the screws or the originals. Don’t waste your money.

The media could not be loaded. We ordered these magnetic locks because our 17-month old son loves to get into everything! They are a good value and do a nice job of keeping the cabinet locked without making our kitchen look ugly. I will say that the little placement cradle that comes with the locks was not the most helpful. I ended up adjusting the placement of both pieces of the lock system on my own to get it aligned just right so that the lock would catch and hold. My only other small complaint is that the instructions are not the best but an easy solve was to watch the product video. After a little maneuvering I had these installed in about 15 minutes. My husband came home from work and was surprised and happy to find our kitchen cabinet problem solved. These are a win in our book!

These can be a bit confusing to install. Instructions aren't as clear as they could be. Once you figure it out and install them (they won't work for all applications), they do the job.

The media could not be loaded. If you have a mobile baby in your house, you need these cabinet locks. I have installed these in the bathroom and kitchen to keep baby away from cleaning products and anything else I don't want him to get into. They stay on and can withstand baby pulling on the cabinet doors. The keys are magnetic and are easily stored on the fridge. These are a babyproofing must-have!

This item does not work. The magnet is surprisingly weak, as well as the stickers used to hold the parts in place. I think it would have worked a lot better had there been mounting hardware. I wanted so badly to use this, but even with a child under the age of 2, they could easily rip the hardware out of place to open the cabinet. I'm disappointed in this product though, as I said in the title, it's a good idea.
