  • Nice and discreet but doesn’t work on all cabinets
Several of the cabinets and furniture I ordered these for don’t work well with these. If it has a lip around the outside where you would apply the hook, odds are, it won’t stay on your cabinet/furniture with even the slightest bit of resistance. It works very well in other places, but do a quick run through all the places you would need them and make sure they don’t have lips around the edge. Otherwise, these things do work! You can unlock them with any magnet, and you can also switch the lock off when you need to get in a certain cabinet multiple times and don’t want to look for your key every single time. With patience, they’re easy to install. Just make sure you actually wait for the adhesive to stick, otherwise your toddler could easy break it off and waste a brand new lock. ... show more

  • Quality is lacking
I was in much need of these locks, now that my baby started walking and being curious. but this was disappointing. First of, I follow the instruction using the mold it comes with to try to make sure that both pieces were in the right place, but the part that gets attached to the door, ends up being to low, so for the next ones I didn't use the mold, instead I eyed measured it, it fit ok. Then turns out that the little lock that is supposed to be up and fitting the other piece, doesn't stay up all the time, meaning that sometimes the door is lock but sometimes it's not, and that is a huge mess if I'm not checking my baby which was the whole point of having the locks on there. Third, my baby (only 15months old btw) was able to break the lock by pulling the cabinet door. like, how week and bad quality does it has to be for a baby to be able to break this? And last, the magnet is super weak, I was excited that it came with two, but it's so weak that I have to move it around where the lock is suppose to be, to be able to open it, and that scratch the actual door. I do not recommend ... show more

  • Do not bother, they don't work
The media could not be loaded. I tried really hard to make these work, but they are useless. I would give this zero stars if it were possible. I will say that the overall thought behind these is pretty cool: an outside magnet is used to open and close the latch that sits on the inside of the cabinet. Unfortunately, the design falls short on basically all fronts. Here is a brief list of the issues: 1. The written instructions are rubbish. I assume the company is making a copy of a copy of a copy because, though there are instructions included, they make little sense and the pictures included are such bad quality that it is difficult to tell what goes where 2. The cradle is the base used to align all of the pieces . You put the pieces into the cradle then remove the cover off the sticky paper then place the entire thing inside the cabinet. Once the sticky tape makes contact with the surface, you can remove the cradle and the pieces are then supposed to align and close.... Well, as you may imagine, they do not line up. This means that I had to try to align this manually, which was more uncomfortable than difficult, but still really annoying. 3. The way the magnet works is that there is a little piece on the inside that moves right or left (to open or close the latch) when the magnet is placed on the outside of the cabinet. The latch, however, is very flimsy and does not work as it is supposed to. The result is that the latch is weak and can be easily open, even without the magnet. Or, on the other hand, sometimes it latches and won't open, even with the magnet. I will stop there. The point is that this is useless and unless you want the challenge of making it work, I recommend spending your money on something else ... show more

  • Baby proof- not husband proof
These have been very sufficient keeping the kitchen sink closed and chemicals away from little prying hands. I did find that the side of the bracket vs my cabinet may not be sufficient. I do have concerns the bracket might come off if one forgets to open it and at one point my fears were not entirely unfounded. Installation is very simple with the addition of the included guide. I like two magnets are included but also consider that a good fridge magnet can do the job as well in a pinch. ... show more

  • Not terrible, but not great
So immediately, it comes in a box, pretty mixed up. The instructions are totally useless. It looks as if it was made and photo copied a few times so the quality of the pictures is bad. (Great because I am very much a visual learner (heavy sarcasm!)) The "cradle" is also useless. This *may* be cabinet depending but I've used this on two cabinets, one wood as pictured and one that weird particle board type stuff. Anyways, the good news, is that if you quickly remove it you can replace it on wood. The bad is on particle board it will take destroy the strip. Granted I shoved mine up there anyways so we'll see how long it holds! If you manage to get through the bad instructions and the alignment issues with the cradle, the good news is that it does actually work as intended. The keys will operate the locks as appropriate with little room to wiggle. The keys come with their own mount which is nice to have a dedicated spot to keep them so they don't get lost. I will update to see how long it takes my 2yo to get through them. I mean overall, these would not be my first recommendation. There are easier locks to install on the market. (like the strap locks that just go over the door, sure it's not pretty but it works!) They do work (so far!) but that's really all I can say about them at this moment. ... show more

  • Doesn’t work for ALL cabinets
Just a heads up before you buy these…my cabinets have narrow trims on the inside, meaning I wasn’t able to install these 100% properly. The main latching part that’s activated with the magnet wasn’t able to stick flush against the inside trim, leaving a bit of a gap. You can see what I’m taking about on the pics. They work, but they’re not as secure as they’d normally be if they had more surface area to stick to, so if my kid pulls hard enough on the cabinet doors, it’s likely to pop off (I confirmed this by testing it myself). These are good magnet locks, just make sure you have the proper cabinets so these work as intended. ... show more
