We skipped blinds in our home to keep it bright and open and not hide our views, but we do have curtains for privacy and movie days. The kitchen window directly glares on our TV making it nearly unusable during certain times of the day. We wanted a blind to block the light when needed, but also wanted it to not be noticeable when it wasn’t being used so it wouldn’t distract from the kitchen view. This one fits the window well and is minimal and not overly noticeable. The string can slide to the side so it’s unseen when not in use. Meets our need. The downside is it’s a little wrinkly and I worry about ripping it when I’m pulling it down. When it’s pulled down, there’s an angle at the bottom so it’s not pulling straight. We can usually sit it on the window seal so it isn’t noticeable, but I’m concerned about longevity since it is appearing to pull crooked thus far. It really blocks the light though. Obviously there’s expected gaps on the side because we went with an inside the frame mount (measure outside if you want to block more light), but it’s basically black out where the curtain is. The TV is much more usable when it’s in use. The install was a tiny challenge because once it is in, it’s hard to pop it back out. My husband put it in backwards from how I wanted it to roll. I wanted it to pull down closer to the window, pulling away from the window allowed a little more light in. We had to gently use a flat head screwdriver to pop it back out and adjust it. ... show more

I love these shades. I have searched for several blinds and I am so glad I landed on these! Easy roll up and great black out 👍🏽 a little noise when rolling up but that doesn’t bother me at all. Bought 4 and would buy more!

I really enjoy these. I bought these for my kitchen so I could still see my front porch from the window. I’m sad they aren’t offered anymore. We really like the slow roll on them and being able to see outside.
