I’ve had the CHI Tourmaline Ceramic 1” flat iron for about three years now, and I honestly still love it just as much as when I first bought it. It heats up quickly, is very easy to use, and the ceramic plates glide smoothly through my hair without pulling or snagging. It consistently leaves my hair looking straight, smooth, and shiny with minimal effort. Over time, it has held up really well with no issues at all—no loss of heat, no damage, and no performance changes. It’s become my go-to straightener because I can rely on it every time I use it. I’ve tried other flat irons over the years, but this one has been the most consistent and easiest to work with. It does exactly what I need without any complications. Overall, this is the best straightener I’ve ever used, and after three years of regular use, I still have no complaints and would definitely recommend it.

Best straightener on market for dry or damaged hair

I got the classic 1.5 inch ceramic tourmaline one. This is the best straightener you can use if your hair cuticle is compromised from chemical or heat damage, or you simply have very dry hair. It is the least damaging straightener, I’ve had many different ones from $30-$179 , nothing gets hair as silky smooth as this one. I loved the original and the classic is just the original with added tourmaline to the ceramic (best option for frizzy hair). Another huge plus is the heat setting because fine or thin hair probably doesn’t need 410 degrees Fahrenheit of heat, and the “original” CHI one doesn’t have a temperature control. I love the “classic” one with the added tourmaline for this reason too. My bangs are thin and I don’t want to straighten them at the same temp as the rest of my hair or they’ll get dry and damaged.
